So, yep, that was the ending! Woo hoo! This story took my brain and flung it against a brick wall, then stomped on it, then took a knife and chopped it up into little pieces, before finally putting it back together! Yay!
But seriously, while this story took a lot out of me, it was all worth it to get to read about your guys' reactions. I've never really shared my stories with so many people, but doing so has really helped me in my writing (and it's also helped my confidence). You guys are awesome!
As for that last chapter—yes, I know I went with THAT theory, but I dunno, I thought it might be fun to slip that little "reveal" in there at the end as a kind of "wait, excuse me?" moment before the end.
I don't really have any solid reasoning as to why that's my theory, but hey—if we learn Brant's last name in the next book, and I was wrong, I can come back and edit it, if that'll make you guys feel better XD.
Anyways, I'll stop rambling. I hope you enjoyed!
