Y/n pov:

I calmly walked out of the school gates and up the street until the gym was completely out of sight. From there I ran all the way home. It felt strange going home without Oikawa. He was good company, and he conveniently lived next door, but he sometimes took things too far. And this was one of those times. 

I went into the corner store and bought some Pocky and some other foods, drinks and essentials that I was running low on. I payed, packed my bags and walked home. I made myself sushi for tea, it was delicious but I decided to save some for lunch tomorrow.

My phone buzzed so I picked it up and checked my messages:

(Y/n) are you ok? I've just beaten Oikawa for being so dumb and he's going to apologise.

He said he'll apologise later or tomorrow.

We've just left practice, I hope you're ok

I'm ok Kinumi, don't worry. He just took it too far and I lost my
temper

I've had a bad day anyway so him being idiotic didn't help

I put my phone back on the counter before heading upstairs to shower. I got out my pyjamas, made my bed and walked into the bathroom. I didn't even get to turn it on before the doorbell rang.

I sighed and ran down the stairs.

"Hey Yaku! Come in." I let him inside the house and got the pencil case from the kitchen counter and gave it to him.

"Thank you (y/n), its lovely. I'll definitely be using this!" He smiled and sipped the tea that I'd made for him (a/n: foreshadowing~).  Yaku was one of my best friends probably 2nd, after Hajime, and he was always there for me.

"How was your day (Y/n)-chan?"

There were three ways I could reply to that question:

A: Lie and pretend everything went well? No, he knows me too well and would chop my head if he found out I was lying.

B: Tell him the truth? He wouldn't chop my head, he could give some useful advice and it would help me stop thinking about it. I mean why am I still thinking about oikawa? 

C: Start a new conversation to stop this one? Out of question, we know each other too well to do this.

"Well Oikawa found out where I disappear to at lunch. He said I was bad at everything. I lost to him so I have to buy him milkbread aand practice with him."

Yaku could tell this upset me, he put his arm around my shoulders and comforted me  "Its  okay, please don't cry. I'll try and sort this out for you."

He took his wallet out and handed me 1000 yen. He told me to pay for the milkbread and buy something for myself with the money. This caused an argument that I couldn't win.

"I insist!"
"No! I insist!"
"Take the money (y/n)!"
"No, I can pay for it myself!"
"I insist you take it!"
"No Yaku, you keep it! I insist!"
"I'm not leaving until you take it."
"Then I guess you're staying then!"
"No I'm not! Take the money y/n! Now!"

I was exhausted and I knew I couldn't argue with him for much longer, so I took the money.

"Yaku your more like my mom than my actual mother is." It was true, he really was. My mother was always away on business trips and we almost never got to talk to each other.

A while later Yaku left leaving me by myself. I showered and got changed before getting into bed. I closed my eyes and just as I was about to fall asleep my phone buzzed.

I picked up my phone from off the shelf. Who would text me at this hour? I checked to see which idiot woke my peaceful slumber.

Of course it was Oikawa. Who else would it be?
