Y/n pov:

This morning I walked to school by myself. I set off slightly earlier than usual to avoid Tooru for as long as I could and to buy milkbread with the money Yaku gave me. When I got to school Iwaizumi wasn't at the gate but someone else was in his spot at the gate...

"Maki?"

"No time to explain, come with me." He said turning to enter the school grounds.

Before I had time to answer he started walking, I was confused so I followed him all the way over to the gym. I heard  shuffling and murmurs coming from the building. 

I took off my school shoes and entered the gym followed by Maki. The first thing I saw was Iwa-chan dragging Oikawa in my direction followed by a sweat-dropping Matsukawa.

When Iwaizumi was satisfied with where he positioned Tooru he nudged him then stepped to the side.

Tooru was staring at the floor the whole time, not once did he look up. I tilted my head to the side. What was happening?

"I'm sorry." That's what he said.

I turned around and grabbed my bag off my back, I unzipped the pocket and took out the bread. As I did this I heard him speak again.

"I did something dumb and I'm sorry, I just want to be friends again..."

I turned around, milkbread in hand as he looked up. The look on his face was priceless. His eyes were wide and his mouth wide open, he kept looking at me then the milkbread then back at me again. I handed him the milkbread and smiled.

"I forgive you Oikawa. Now let's get to class before we get detention for being late again."

We smiled at each other and left the gym.

Time skip:

The final bell of the day rang and I walked out of class. I headed over to the gym, I had decided earlier that I would practice with Tooru, we did  make a deal.

I walked in and got changed before helping the boys set up ready for practice. 

When everyone had arrived and everything was set up we decided on practicing jump serves. It went really well, better than we thought, honestly. And afterwards I stayed in the gym with Oikawa and Iwaizumi.

We worked on my serves for a while then decided we were all tired so we headed home.

I was glad that I stayed to practice and I can tell that I've improved already in such a small amount of time. I'm not going to settle at that though, it needs to be perfect. 

I have to try harder.

I walked home with Tooru as usual, the silence was comfortable and the late night air was fresh.

"I forgot how peaceful it is around here." I thought out loud.

"Yeah, it is quite nice isn't it?" Tooru started, "By the way, you did really good today, I just thought I'd let you know."

"Thanks." I smiled slightly as I unlocked my front door. "Good night Oikawa."

He looked at me and smiled back, "Good night y/n, sleep well."
