Sasha's POV (the next day)

"Do you want to go grab lunch?"

I sighed, not even glancing at Fiona "I'm not hungry" she didn't like that answer

"You can't stay depressed forever" I kept silent but I could tell she was worried

She sighed heavily "Do you want to go see Rhys?" My mind went blank as I thought about him

The boy that should've been with me

"Sasha?"

I snapped out of my thoughts quickly "lets get going, I need to see him"

"I know you miss him...you miss him so much it's almost like you love him"

I didn't know what to say, I was unsure I could even speak. She was joking, trying to make me laugh at the thought of being with Rhys

I do, though. I do love him but so what? I should've told him that night

Told him I wasn't drinking the night we kissed

***

I was by Fiona's side, nervously standing outside Jack's office door. I've been meaning to do this for awhile. I knocked and heard a faint 'come in' Fiona and I both stepped inside but Rhys wasn't there. Just Jack, sitting at his desk

"Where's Rhys?"

Jack glanced at me and smirked, looking me up and down "wouldn't you like to know" a slight chuckle left his lips

"Yeah, yeah I would like to know so open your goddamn mouth before I-" Fiona softly shushed me

"He could kick us out, then you won't see Rhys at all"

I thought about it for a minute, I thought about Rhys. His messy hair and stupid Colgate smile. I seemed to space out, just focused on him and then I heard the door open and a gentle voice spoke

"What are you guys doing here?"

We both looked at Rhys, I was speechless. It was almost like a dream. A  happy dream. The kind of dream where your greatest desires come true

He smiled wide, it was a contagious smile and I couldn't help but smile myself

Jack pulled Rhys aside to whisper to him, Jack seemed angry. I didn't care if he was mad, I could care less

But Rhys was listening to every word he spit and then they finally finished speaking

"I'm sorry, I don't really have time for you to visit"

He was like a puppet and Jack was pulling the strings. I couldn't stand to see Rhys this way

He never listens to anyone, he never plans things out. He just does as he pleases

But I guess that's changed

"Sasha was it? Rhys is very busy currently, call later. Or never" Jack shooed both Fiona and I out of his office.

This is the end of the dream, the part where you wake up and realize it was just your imagination. I replayed the memory in my head, how his hand felt in my hair and his lips on mine. It feels like that was a century ago

I should've told him that night

Told him I loved him
