A week had passed, and Umbridge's class was still as boring as ever. While she rambled on about some stupid jinxes, I had filled my entire note sheet with little doodles. I could've gone on to draw on the desk if I didn't know what was good for me.

I swung my legs back and forth until the heel of my foot hit something. It wasn't a thing as much as a person because he let out a small groan, but tried to restrain it. When I looked under my chair, I found Fred lying there with a box in this hands. The twins had somehow snuck into this dungeon, and they took their box of fireworks with them.

"What are you doing?" I whispered, harshly. I looked over to Katie, but she was half asleep.

"Push the box towards Umbridge," Fred said.

"I do not want to be a part of this."

"Is there a problem, Miss Dupont?" Umbridge's smiled.

Taking advantage of his weak position, I pushed my shoe into the side of Fred's face, hiding him. I could hear George let out a faint laugh under Katie's chair.

"Of course not, Professor."

The toad hummed. "Wake up Miss Bell, will you?" She stroked her wand. "Or I might have to do it myself."

I quickly shook Katie awake and removed my shoe from Fred's face. George opened the box full of explosives and nudged it towards my feet.

"Please, Rosa. Just do it."

Katie was rubbing her eyes and staring up at the board. "What does that spell do?" She whispered, scrambling to find her quill and paper.

I slightly pushed the box forward towards Umbridge. Before I had time to realize how the box had tipped over, a firework rolled out and stopped beside Umbridge's shoes.

"Shit," Fred muttered under his breath.

The professor grimaced. "What is this-"

The entire classroom broke into a fit of screams and giggles when it exploded. The damage was quite minimal, but it left Umbridge with a chalky face and frizzy hair. She would be livid, I knew it, but at the moment, she was just stunned. We took the chance to run out of the classroom.

"She will know it was me! The box is under my chair!" I cursed myself for not straightening things out before running off with the rest of the students.

"Relax, Dude-point. Live a little!" Fred laughed.

"Are you kidding me?" Katie screamed. "You're gonna get all of us into Umbridge's prissy pink slaughter house with her death quills!"

"We just wanted you to have a free block." George gestured towards me.

I scrunched my face up. "Even if I had a free block, I wouldn't spend it with you."

Katie pulled me away, and we walked into the courtyard.

"All Weasley Products shall be banned immediately."

I was quite relieved if I was being honest. If the toad had made one right decision, it would be this one. However, it was overshadowed by the numerous other educational decrees hanging on the wall.

"Educational decree number sixty eight: all student organizations, societies, and clubs are hereby disbanded. Permission to reform must be sought from the high inquisitor." Hermione huffed. "It's only been a week! How did she find out?"

"Who even made Umbridge high inquisitor in the first place?" Katie complained.

"Umbridge did." Alicia sighed.

Lee looked up, dumbfounded. "What's a high inquisitor?"

The History of Magic Professor was a ghost. The first few classes were made up of his soppy death story. He had fallen asleep, and awoke a ghost. It was hard for me to believe someone so complex had such a peaceful death. It was even harder to believe that there was nothing, absolutely nothing, about the first Wizarding War in the text book. It's as if they were frightened by the thought of proper learning.

Perhaps I should have taken a free block.

Professor Binns ordered us to read an excerpt from A History of Magic by Bathilda Bagshot. It was all about Thestrals. I had been able to see them from such a young age, it didn't occur to me that some people couldn't even fathom its existence. My mother saw them too. I wondered whose death she witnessed.

I can ask about it in the letter I hope to write to her over winter holiday.

In the matter of a week, I had learned more from Harry Potter than any other professor since the beginning of term. I was able to do some of the most intricate spells, and even some I had never heard of.

I stood at the end of the room of requirements, facing a large statue on wheels. We'd been practicing on the poor thing before Harry decided we were ready to duel each other.

"Any volunteers?"

The room stared at me in silence. I had no idea if it was because they were scared or if they thought I was a stupid french girl.

With the cockiest smirk I had ever seen, Fred lifted his hand. "I'll do it."

"Alright." Harry gave him a firm nod, and Fred stepped into the opposite end of the room.

I sighed. Fred caught on to my disappointment. "What? Are you scared?"

I almost laughed. "No. I just thought I would have some competition."

Fred cocked a brow and Harry shifted awkwardly. "Whenever you're ready."

We held our wands out in front of ourselves. At first, there was nothing. I could feel everyone staring us down like hungry vultures. Damn it, if they cared so much, they could've volunteered.

"Merde" (shit), I cursed under my breath. He looked so confident, I envied it. When he sent the first spell my way, I couldn't even block it with my wand. I just ducked. It left the room quivering.

"Ascendio!"

"Protego!" I was able to block this one. However, he wouldn't stop there. He sent the stunning jinx my way just seconds later.

"Expelliarmus!" And Fred's wand went flying out of his hand. With him wandless, I found my courage. "Stupefy!"

Fred flew and stumbled against the hard, concrete wall. Before he'd fallen down, a line of people stepped in front of me, eager for a duel.
