"Do you wanna sit? It's a bit long"
Sana nodded and took her hands off the railings. She walked over to the other side of the bridge and sat down. "We can sit here if you like"
Mina nodded and made her way to Sana and sat beside her. For a moment, Mina mistook the situation for something else. How could she not when they were at a nearby lake with a small bridge conjoining the two patches of land between the outer land of the lake and the small islet inside the lake. It was a full moon tonight so Mina could clearly see the moon shining upon them on their little secret lake hideout.
Sana was dressed in nothing but a simple plain tee and boyfriend jeans and anyone who'd see her right now would think that she looks nothing out of the ordinary but it was different for Mina. She knew that she didn't feel anything for the other Japanese woman but with the way Sana looked now--under the moonlight, she looked absolutely stunning for Mina. She softly shook her head before making her way to where the orange-haired woman was. After all, this was simply a deal that Sana had to take because she owed Dahyun. She was nothing more to Sana but a client.
She soflty plopped onto the space next to Sana and looked up at the stars.
"So are you going to talk about it or are we gonna stargaze?" Sana asked in a teasing tone. She didn't want to push or force Mina to come straight with it but it would be an uneven deal if Sana didn't have her part in it especially since she'd have to give up the one thing she always relied on money making. From now on, she'd have to find an actual stable job-to which she silently shuddered at the thought. She haven't worked ever since high school where she and Chaeyoung had to work in stalls at the mall to pay for their college fees and to help Chaeyoung with art school.
Mina hummed.
"Hmm?" Sana asked.
"Did you know that the true light of stars reach you only after at least 7,000 years? For all we know, the star could die when its ray reaches Earth"
"Oh?" Sana was confused as to why the younger had brought up the stars. Maybe it was because she had a fascination or special interest in space, specifically in stars, or maybe it was because they were underneath a blanket of stars and with how busy they have been the past week this was the only time they had truly stopped and looked up to admire the stars that shone above them.
Mina finally looked down from the sky to the lake in front of them. "Nayeon was like that too"
Sana stayed silent. She had understood the analogy Mina had used which answered her queries on why she had brought up the random fact.
"She used to shine so bright but I was too blinded by it that I hadn't noticed that was a different light" Mina paused as she grabbed a pebble that was between her and the older woman and had tossed it in the lake, causing the water to have a ripple effect. "She was sweet, patient, caring and kind-everything that I could ask for in a partner"
Sana silently ticked a check box in her mind with every trait Mina had mentioned and let out a small grin when she realized she had ticked off every requirement Mina had but then silently shook her head when she realized what she was doing.
"It was fine for the year we had been together that was until her true light had finally reached me-Do you know the story of Icarus?" Mina turned to face Sana.
The older woman laughed at the sudden change of topic. She turned her head to the left to face Mina. "Is this another analogy to Nayeon?"
Mina blushed as she slowly nodded. Sana didn't mind though, she enjoyed hearing Mina talk about her past. It made her feel like the younger woman had finally trusted her enough to let her in her life and past despite her job.
