Veronica's POV;
I woke up to the vibration from my phone. I looked at the caller I.D. and quickly rushed to the balcony of the room. "Hello?"
"Hello, this is Professor Berlin from the school of Creative Arts in Los Angeles. I would like to speak to Veronica Garcia."
My heart started racing, this is what I've been waiting for, "This is she."
"Oh good, how are you?" He said a little happier.
"Fine, really nervous now though, that I got this call." I laughed a little.
He laughed too, "No need to be nervous, I'm calling for really good news. We are personally accepting your application to CALA. We look forward to you starting in the fall."
I squealed a little bit, "Thank you, thank you, thank you."
"No, Ms. Garcia, thank you. Your scores are brilliant, you have experience. You're a very intelligent girl."
"Thank you Mr. Berlin, you made my day so much better." I smiled.
"As did you Ms. Garcia, I look forward to seeing you."
"Same here, I'm really excited. Thank you again. Good-bye." I said hanging up. I opened the sliding glass door and walked in. Justin was still sleeping and I wanted to make sure I wouldn't wake him. I opened the door to the room and walked across the hall to Jessica's room. I opened the door and snuck in and plopped on the bed, making her pop up. "Guess what?" I smiled.
She rubbed her eyes, "What?"
"I got in!" I squealed hugging her.
A smiled wiped across her face, "Oh my God that is amazing. I'm so happy for you."
"I know," I pulled away, and then the smile disappeared.
"Oh crap, what's wrong now?" Jessica asked.
"Justin..."
"No way, you're letting him come before your future?"
"Jessica, stop it."
"No," she stood up and placed her hands on her hips, "You won't listen to anyone else, so maybe you'll listen to me. Justin is ruining your life, all you do is think about whether Justin will be okay with this, or if he'll be okay with that. You don't focus on what Veronica needs, or what Veronica wants. It's always Justin. I see why Ryan gets so pissed off."
"Do not bring him into this." I spit.
"Veronica, you blew him off. You screwed him and you threw him away when Justin came back."
"No, he brought Justin back."
"No he didn't, Justin came back on his own."
"Jessica, I can't believe you're doing this right now."
"Then when Veronica? You just got into one of the biggest schools in the nation and you want to second guess that because of your relationship with Justin?"
I sat quiet, she was right. I was second guessing my future for a boy...something I always said I wouldn't do. I lied to myself, and to my heart. "I want to go to CALA."
Jessica sat down and placed her arms around me, "Then go. Don't let him step in the way of your future, your destiny."
I looked at her and smiled, "You're a really good friend."
She sighed, "Not that good."
