Hyacinth Cackle Goes To College (A Weirdsister College Fanfic)

I continued to wait for a few more minutes in Misery's until a young boy walked out of the back rooms, he had short brown hair, grayish blue eyes, he looked like he was the most pleasant person you could ever meet. When he noticed me, he smiled.

"Oh...hello...you must be Hyacinth, I'm Ben Stemson, I work here with my mother."

I went over to him and shook his hand, he's so bloody cute!

"Nice to meet you Ben. It's a nice place your mum owns."

"Thank you, it would actually make her day if you tell her right when she comes out. I know the cafe doesn't open for a few minutes, would you like anything, coffee...tea?"

"Coffee, thank you."

"Alright."

After a couple minutes, he walked back to me with a cup of regular coffee with milk and sugar.

"Thank you very much Ben. How much-"

"Don't worry, um...it's on me, consider it a welcoming gift since Mum told me you're new in town."

"Aw Ben, that's really really sweet of you...thank you."

"You're welcome."

I took a sip, it burned my tongue. I hissed in pain, Ben went from smirking to a worried expression.

"Are you alright Hyacinth!?"

"Just burned my tongue, it's alright, let it cool off for a few minutes. Don't fret Ben."

He sighed. We saw Elaine and Mildred walked out of the back rooms.

"Ah I see you've met my son."

Elaine gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"Mum," he said in embarassment.

"The cafe is opening up in one minute."

Mildred and Ben turned to each other.

(A/N: Mildred and Ben never dated in this story but he does know that she is a witch.)

"Hi Millie," he said softly.

"Millie?" I asked her.

"That's what everyone at Weirdsister calls me since I first started."

I nodded.

Soon, the cafe was almost crowded with customers. Ben was struggling with one big order for a table, large coffees for about five people, he was trying to keep balance. For my first spell at Weirdsister College, I point my finger at Ben to keep him balanced as he made the last few steps to them.

"Here you are, six coffees, three with milk and sugar and the other three black."

They said their thanks as he left, he walked to Mildred who was making orders, spoke to her for a few seconds, then shrugged his shoulders. I realized I had my first class in five minutes. I walked over to Ben and Mildred.

"I have to go, I have my first class in five minutes, it was nice meeting you Ben, I'll see you both later."

"You as well," Ben said.

"Bye Hyacinth!" Mildred waved.

I walked out of the cafe and to class.
