In the mayor's house, a certain someone was seated on her chair in front of the vanity table.

Even though it looked like Lara's island it was that of monarchy it actually wasn't. It had different two states the capital and Gideon, that's where Gideon's high was located. The capital was ruled by the Kades themselves, but they assigned people as governors and presidents, so it wasn't exactly democratic either, everything these days can be controlled. Lara's island was a country of his own.

And then we have Gideon, which had a prestigious school that attracted many prestigious families from all over the world, there are other schools, but Gideon's high overshadowed them all. Due to love for his country and he knew that most people from Gideon can't afford the fees he came up with NS where only people with brains are allowed.

Fortunately, this mayor was well respected and he was reelected over and over again.

He also dotes on his daughter who was the girl seated on the soft cushion, Riley James.

She calmly ran the brush through her short hair as she stared at herself in the mirror.

She can't help but think that she was really beautiful.

When she was done, she started applying her makeup. She didn't even pay attention to the two blonde haired girls that walked into her room.

Riley dropped her lipstick then glared at the two girls who was busy gossiping behind her back.

Riley was the only dark-haired girl among these two, even though it was odd she was still the 'queen', and these two were her minions and best friends but she won't tell them that.

Rhea and Avery, the popular twins. They used to be models, but had to stop to gain a high school certificate before going back to their business.

"How many times have I told you two to knock before coming into my room?" Riley questioned.

They were about to get up and go back outside then knock before coming back in.

When Riley realized this, she stopped them.

Bimbos.

They sat down back on the bed and started telling Riley all have been going on around school but she paid little interest in it.

She hadn't been in school for two weeks now due to a certain car accident she faced a day before school resumed. She had minor injuries and she had already removed the cast from her neck so she is back to being beautiful as ever and ready to get back to school.

Riley stood up, getting ready to put her books into her bag when she heard Rhea say something that got her attention.

"What did you say?' Riley asked crossing her arms around her chest.

"Ooh, so that got your attention" Avery said giggling.

"Of course, it would, she hadn't seen him since the accident when he came to the hospital to check up on her, she is missing him already" Rhea said playing with a strand of her hair.

Riley rolled her eyes. "Cut the crap blondies and tell me what you just said"

Avery the ever information carrier decided to outlay all the information she had on Jason Kade. "He is wooing a certain scholar from NS. I don't know if she was the one who placed some dark magic on Jason but he is following her like a dog. He even suggested that both NS and RM should have lunch at the same cafeteria. He even had lunch with her and her sad group. I suggest you hold close to your man because he is slowly slipping away from your hands"

Riley frowned. Her soul, her mind, her body were on fire.

She was so upset she wanted to strangle that nitwit that is trying to seduce her boyfriend.

She could not understand why, why was Jason doing this when it was obvious that they were still in a relationship. Was Jason planning on breaking up with her?

No, he wouldn't dare. His father won't even approve of his relationship, he wouldn't dare leave the mayor's precious daughter for a lowly life human being, right?

Her finger nails were already piercing through her palm, Avery and Rhea smirked when they saw this reaction.

Whenever Riley was upset, there was always a good show to watch.

And there is nothing they love more than causing chaos.

A short chapter I know.

But don't worry a long chapter for another time.
