The boys were all looking at Skylar as her pace slowed, worried about what was going on in her mind.

"Sky? Skylar are you ok?" James's eyes were filled with concern as he looked upon his newfound friend.

"Yeah, yeah I'm good. I'm great actually. So cheeseburgers?" Skylar walked in front of the 4 and didn't look back, afraid they would see the tears about to fall from her eyes.

"Um, Sky?" Sirius started, "yo-"

"I told you guys I'm fine, stop worrying about me!" Sky yelled back at them, still not turning back to look at them.

"Sky, you're going the wrong way!" Remus called to her. The boys snickered behind him when they saw her stop in her tracks. They saw her shoulders rise and fall before she turned around and walked towards the boys.

"Fine then, lead the way since you know everything." She said to anyone who was listening. The boys chuckle but none the less, lead the way to the Great Hall. Sirius linked his arm with Skylar's as they walked to dinner. Sirius looked down at Sky to make sure she was ok. Skylar didn't seem to notice, as she kept her eyes trained forward, eyes dry from the tears. Remus looked down at her from her other side, also worried that she might not be ok, even after she told them all she was (not that any of them believed her when she said it).

Thoughts of her father were rushing into Skylar's mind, memories she had with him. She missed her father with everything in her. The whole point of her trying to go back in time was to be with her father, but she couldn't be with him in the '70s, he's barely 6 years old in this timeline.

They got to the Great Hall and made a beeline for the Gryffindor table. Skylar looked around in awe, never seeing anything like this. The ceiling was transparent, showcasing the beautiful night sky, candles were floating, it all looked amazing to her. "I love magic" she whispered under her breath.

The boys ushered her onto the bench, Sirius and Remus squeezing in next to her, James and Peter sitting across from the 3. "Where's all the food?" Skylar asked, stomach rumbling. Skylar hadn't had the best diet going on back in 2023, she spent all her time working on the machine so she hadn't had an actual meal, just snacks here and there so it was safe to say she was pretty hungry.

"It'll be here soon, don't worry," Peter said in his quiet tone.  The Great Hall was filled with students talking and laughing with their friends, with no somber mood to ruin their high spirits. Skylar looked around the table and spotted Lily and the others sitting next to James and Sirius.

"Hey, guys!" Sky said to her friends. They all looked over at her and smiled.

"Hey, Sky! You finding everything ok?"  Marlene asks.

"For the most part, the boys have been helping me with where to go." Sky looked over at the boys sitting across from her and smiled at them in appreciation.

"Just doing our duties as the best friends she's ever had" Sirius put an arm around her neck and pulled her closer to him.

"I don't know about the best friends I've ever had but you certainly are doing your best to make it to the top ten" Sky responded, moving away from Sirius. His arm fell from her shoulders as his face held a look of betrayal.

"That is SO mean. Who was ever better than THE Marauders?" Jame pipped into the conversation, also looking butthurt that Sky said that.

"I can name so many, do you want me to?" She asked the group, enjoying the way Sirius and James looked like she had just killed their dog.

"Yes," James and Sirius both spoke at the same.

"Well there's Wanda"

"Sounds lame"
