Kindred Hearts - A Marauders Story

The boys sat in front of both professors but they were too busy looking at the girl bound to a chair in the corner of the room. Not out of sight, but out of the way for the time being.

"Now boys, please tell us what happened. Don't leave any details out." Dumbledore said calmly. McGonagall was looking at the boys, many emotions swirling in her eyes.

The 4 boys looked at each other, none of them knowing what to say. They all looked back over at the girl whose head hung low, still not awake. Remus was the first to say something. 

"We don't know what happened professors. we heard a big bang coming from outside so we went to investigate and the next thing we knew, there was a crash on the ground." Sirius picked up from where Remus left off.

"We went over to see what happened and we saw a girl on the ground, it was like a meteor crash. She got up and attacked us and said a weird name, I think it was Peter?" Sirius said. 

James interrupted Sirius. "She said the name, Pietro. After that you guys came before anything else could happen" James finished, still looking bewildered at the girl in the chair. 

"Well, then I guess we're going to have to wake her up to hear her side of the story. Minerva, would you like to do the honors?" Dumbledore said, looking at McGonagall from over his half-moon glasses. McGonagall waved her wand and suddenly, Skylar jerked up.

"What the hell" her voice came out groggy from being hit with the spell. She tried to lift her hand to her pounding head but saw that it was tied to a chair. Skylar knew that she could just burn the rope off but she didn't want to scare them just yet. She had to figure out where she was and how she was meant to get home. 

"Where the hell am I? Who are you guys?" Skylar questioned, more awake than before.

"I think before we answer your questions, you should answer some of ours," McGonagall said, an impassive look on her face. 

"Listen, lady, I mean no harm, I have no idea where I am so if you could just untie me, I can be on my merry way and we'll all forget this ever happened," Skylar said, smiling at McGonagall. 

"If you answer our questions, we will let you go on your merry way." Dumbledore said from behind McGonagall. 

Why is his beard so long? How does he take care of that?

"Fine," Skylar said. Getting frustrated with her restrains, she focused on them and they started to burn off, falling on the floor once they started to disconnect from their other half. She stood up and walked across the room, ready to answer the questions and get out of there. "Ask away"

The 6 others in the room looked at Skylar like she had grown 2 heads. None of them were quite sure how she had done that. 

"Well, um" McGonagall was struggling with asking her first question, still surprised their new guest had powers like the rest of the individuals in the room. "Let's start with your name"

"My name is Skylar Stark," she said, uninterested. She picked up a severed head from one of the many shelves and held it up to the rest of the people in the room. "This is kinda creepy. Can I keep it?" She said with a small smile on her face. Dumbledore raised his wand and suddenly, the head flew out of her hands and into his. "Awe," she said, a small pout on her face. 

"Ms. Stark, would you mind sitting down so that we can finish with our questions," McGonagall said, tired of the girl's act already. 

"Sure thing, wait what's your name?" Skylar asked.

"Minerva McGonagall," McGonagall responded. 

"Well Minnie, can I call you Minnie?" 

"No."
