I walked into my house after a hard day of training and skating with my team. I sighed as I put my bag down

"Mom, dad I'm home!!!" I said informing them that it was me

"hey baby, just in time dinner is ready" my mom said 

I walked into the kitchen to see the table full of my moms wonderful cooking as usual

"ooo looks good baby!" my dad said kissing my mom

"thank you babe" my mom said

I just laughed at how cute they were. my parents were honestly just amazing, they thought calling each other things like honey or darling was boring and cheesy so they called each other stuff like babe and baby. they didn't do stuff that most parents did they were wild and still after all these years crazy in love. I'm probably the only child on earth to think my parents were the coolest people ever but like THEY ARE!!!! anyways we all sat down at the table and started to eat. as we were eating we got a call on the phone.

my mom got up and said, "I got it"

she talked on the phone for about 2 minuets and squealed jumping up and down as me and my dad looked at her confused.

"KAYLA COME HERE AND LISTEN TO WHAT THIS GUY'S GOTTA SAY, AHHH!" she yelled jumping in excitement

I got up and went to the phone

---call---

Kayla: "hello?"

Guy: "hello miss Kayla I am Mr. Tibbles and I would like to invite you to join the team USA figure skating team in this years junior goodwill games. what do you say?" 

Kayla: "OH MY GOD NO WAY REALLY!"

Mr. Tibbles: "haha yes miss Kayla, really."

Kayla: "of course!!! I would LOVE to join!!!" 

Mr. Tibbles: "Great! well we will fly you out to LA in about 2 weeks to meet your team! is that okay with your parents"

Kayla: whispers "can I guys?"

Mom and Dad: "YES"

Kayla: "YES IT IS"

Mr. Tibbles" "alrighty, see you then! I will send the info tonight!"

Kayla: "thank you so much! goodbye!!"

Mr. Tibbles "goodbye!'

---end of call---

I can't believe this!!! I'm absolutly ecstatic!!!!! me and my family all cheered and as a celebration we went out for ice cream and watched a movie to finish off the night.

---Next day---

I was woken up at 6 AM on Saturday by my mom

"wake up sleepy head!" she said way to loud

"nooo!" I said digging my face in my pillow

"baby I gotta teach you how to crush it in LA please?!?" she begged

"ugh fine" I said getting up

once I got ready my mom started teaching me how to own the streets and who to talk to (she was well known around LA due to her being the most fun and beautiful person to ever live she made lots of friends) she told me if I got in trouble to tell them who my mom was and everything would be good. my mom was honestly such a badass she has taught me self defense and basically how to kind of protect myself. she was so excited for me to become an icon there just like her HAHA!

"okay baby you know basically everything except for one tiny thing." she said with a smile

"what is it?" I asked

"if you see a cute boy while your on the ice I highly recommend doing my famous eye catcher when you finish your routine!" she said all exited

"ooooo what is it" I said excitedly 

"once you finish and start to skate off you do a little spin with a hip sway and an occasional hair flip if you're wearing a ponytail, trust me baby it works every time!" she said 

"really?" I said amused

"yep every boy I liked in the stands would end up swooning over me just because off that HAHA" she said laughing at how powerful she was

"well then I'm using it HEHE" I stated laughing

once she finished molding me (A/n: kbhibvibviufbvb I didn't know what to say so I said that.......... deal with it 🤡) I went and started packing for LA
