Lolita's Point Of View

I stood there, breathless infront of my sister. "Y-Yes.." My voice was quiet, hardly audible to my sister's ears. "Why was he with you?" She said louder. I breathed in, closing my eyes. "I think I have the right to be with who I want to be with, Luna." She shook her head, tapping her foot against the carpet. "But it's Harry, you can't be with Harry." I was about to lose it. Luna didn't take control of who I was with, right? I was over 18, strong enough to fight my own battles and strong enough to stand up for myself.

"Who says I can't?" I said louder, making Luna jump. She wasn't expecting that. "Me."

"I have the right to be with who I want to be with, Okay!?"

I stormed out of the apartment, walking down the stairs at a fast pace. "Lolita!" Luna shouted from above. "Come back this instant!" I shook my head, continuing my trek until I walked out the door. Harry wasn't there anymore, I was hoping that he'd be so that I could run away with him, away from Luna and her cowardly antics. I started walking back to Harry's apartment, where I'd just been ten minutes ago. Luna couldn't tell me what to do, who to date, who to be friends with- not at all.

I ran up the stairs to Harry's apartment and buzzed. "Hello?" He said, his lovely voice filling my ears. "Let me in."

"Ok."

The door buzzed as I pushed it open, walking up the stairs two at a time. I knocked on Harry's door. "What happened now?" He asked worriedly, his eyebrows raising. "It's Luna. She's just being spiteful."

I pushed my way past him into his apartment, sitting down on the couch and covering my face. "It's just so fucking unfair. I wish nothing happened between you guys. Then I wouldn't have to worry about being caught or getting-"

"No no it's okay, I feel the same way. I feel restricted about what I can do to you because of Luna." He sat next to me, his hand on my thigh rubbing small circles. I could feel a wetness down below but I ignored it; not now Lolita, not now.

"She's just been bothering me so much lately." Harry nodded, smiling and taking me into his shoulder, wrapping his arm around me. "I missed you in those twenty minutes you know?"

I chuckled, nodding, leaning into Harry and pecking his neck. "Fucking bitch" I mumbled under my breath. "Do you have work today?" Harry asked. I nodded, I had a three hour shift today, I wasn't looking forward to it. "Three hours."

"Same." He responded. It must start work late considering that it was nine in the morning. "I could see if I could maybe get you an internship or something at the law firm, I can tell you don't enjoy your job." I shot up quickly, my eyes widening. "Really? You'd do that?"

"Yeah why not, It'd be great seeing your little ass at work every day." Harry said with a wink, smirking as I blushed. "Ssh." I whispered, leaning back into Harry. "Thankyou." I smiled, Harry kissing my forehead, rubbing small circles into my shoulder.

Soon it was time for my shift at the corner store. Nothing special had happened in the past hours. Harry and I kissed a few times, watched a movie and shared our stories. Harry told me about his childhood, one of honesty and respect- unlike mine. He told me about the first time he rode his bike, how he'd fallen and dislocated his arm, probably why one arm looked different to the other.

Luna wasn't home when I entered, I was grateful for that. I quickly slipped on my uniform, grabbed my bag and left before I could run in with her again.

The store was quiet as usual, Lucy hadn't arrived yet, another boy my age was working at the cashier; his name was Joshua. "Hey Lolita, mind going to empty those boxes out the back?" he said. I mumbled "sure", walking to the back room and grabbing the boxes of chips we had to empty. They were light, only about a kilo each. I took one at a time, kneeling on the floor to unpack them, being careful when sorting them out.
