«You can stay,» Yixing repeated, this time using a more neutral tone, when Sehun didn't do nor say anything.

«Are you sure? Really, there's no problem if you don't want to be bothered.»

«Yeah, I am sure. Besides, practicing together will help us spotting the flaws and getting better at coordination, won't it?» he tried to hide his uneasiness with a warm smile.

Sehun nodded and finally stepped inside the practice room. He looked nervous and uncomfortable, and Lay couldn't blame him for that. After all, he still was the person to whom the maknae had confessed and who had rejected him. It wasn't easy for neither of them.

Sehun placed his bag near the entrance and did a little bit of warm-up, still not daring to look at the older who was patiently waiting for him to finish to get started. Lay's eyes wandered a little on the younger's limbs getting stretched and on his concentrated face.

«I'm ready, let's start!» declared Sehun after some minutes.

«Which song do you want to begin with?» the Chinese boy asked, going near the stereo.

«Whichever you want. We can start from where you stopped, I really don't mind. As long as we practice.»

Yixing simply nodded and pressed the play button, making the music start from where it had been interrupted. They both got in their position and started dancing, bodies moving in a nearly perfect synchrony as they looked at their own reflections to check the other's movements.

Sehun's forehead formed a cute frown, showing - together with his tongue peeking out every now and then - how much concentrated he was. His body moved as elegantly as the flowing water and he seemed to be relaxed, as if he was immersed in his own element. From time to time, his eyes darted towards Lay's reflection, looking at his steps, but sometimes staring for a little longer when the Chinese dancer wouldn't notice.

Yixing, on the other hand, focused more on bettering his synchrony with Sehun's movements. To him, the younger's harmony while dancing had always had him staring in awe. Although his body wasn't as toned and muscular as Lay's, and wasn't perfectly proportioned, it looked perfect while executing a choreography. More than once the Chinese boy had to stop his mind and just go back to what he was doing not to mess up all the steps.

Everything seemed to go great, and after a few songs all the tension between the two group mates had faded away, also because - Lay noticed - during the choreographies they barely got near each other. Even if they were tired and busy, they were slightly smiling.

After having repeated the same song four times because Lay stated that he thought their movements weren't as coordinated and fluid as they should have been, they collapsed on the floor panting hard, but proud of themselves and each other for the obtained result. Even if Yixing was in pain, he hid it not to ruin that joyful moment.

«Yehet!» Sehun exclaimed, laughing «I thought I was going to die on those steps!»

«So did I, but we made it!»

The two boys high-fived while still on the ground. They took a sip of water because it was too hot in the practice room and they were soaked with sweat. Yixing smiled happily to Sehun and got up, stretching out a hand for the maknae to get on his feet as well. They were alone, only the two of them, in a nearly empty building, physically very close to each other. Still, the Chinese boy couldn't feel any kind of tension or uneasiness; they were just them, and it was kind of normal, as if meant to be. As if nothing had ever happened. Or maybe, wasn't what had happened that made every single exchange between them precious, different?
