Wanda's POV:

Peter and I were stuck in the Quinjet for seven hours with the other Avengers arguing about Y/N and the accords. Around halfway through the flight, we decided to move to the far corner of the jet that was inhabited by a quiet Bucky Barnes who looked lost deep in thought. The three of us bonded over our lack of family alive and decided to lighten the mood by playing with the Uno set we keep for onboard entertainment when we're travelling to and from missions. After those seven gruelling hours flying, we finally land outside the Triskelion building where we're all met by Mr Fury and a blonde woman who's dressed very similar to how Y/N was dressed back at the airport.  As we approached the pair Nat breaks the thick awkward silence.

"Fury, it's great to see you, thank you for helping us out." She greets the older spy.

"I take it that my dear friend Carol's son gave you my message." He responds, introducing Carol to us, simultaneously acknowledging the beating we all received.

"Yeah, we had our ass's handed to us real good." Sam interjects walking up to Fury and Carol holding his hand out to shake which was promptly rejected by Fury with a cold look of half disbelief and disgust from the older man who stood before us. Carol, however, accepts the gesture with a warm smile.

"Wait I know who you are!" Sam exclaimed starting to get excited, leaving the rest of us minus Carol and Nick to shoot a look of confusion at the ex-pararescueman.

"You're Captain Danvers, Ma'am! The pilot who went missing back in eighty-nine and also one of the first two female pilots in the US Air Force ever! I'm guessing space is where you went missing too and is the other pilot up there too?" Sam fanboys whilst saluting and then pointing up to the sky whilst the rest of us stare in disbelief at Sam and his antics.

"It's nice to meet you... I'm sorry what's your name?" Carol greets the overly excited ex-serviceman.

"Sergeant Sam Wilson US Air Force pararescue at your service Ma'am." The bird-themed hero replied in an instant.

"Sam stop bugging the poor woman she has enough shit to do without you excessively fanboying over her." Tony heckles in the background.

"It's really more than ok, we're debriefing in the morning anyway because of how late it is and yes I was in space and no she's in New Orleans and has been for the last twenty years give or take a couple here or there." Carol answers back with a chuckle.

"Ayyyy Louisiana gang represent! Also, does that mean we can go to our rooms now?" Sam questions, turning his attention back to Fury.

"Yes, birdbrain. Now go before I decide to debrief you all now and keep you all up even later and be here for nine AM, not a minute later."  Nick fired back half-jokingly to us, allowing us to walk off to the normal building SHIELD agents stay in when they're in only Washington for a short period of time.

"Actually Wanda, Spiderling, Y/N said something about meeting up with you two when you guys got back. I think he's still at our penthouse across the river. I'm going out with Nick for a bit so I've left the terrace door is open for you guys to get in." Carol pointing us to the white building cross the water.

"Thank you Mrs Danvers" Both Peter and I say in unison as we head towards the river. As we approach the watersedge Peter stopped and turned to me.

"Hey Wanda I don't wanna be a pain but could you please give me a lift across please? I didn't bring any money to get a taxi across the bridge and around to the penthouse." He asked me hopefully.

"Sure, I was going to do that anyway. I'll cross first and then use my powers to lift you across." I answer whilst levitating up and flying to the other side of the water. I land on the pavement softly and wave across the water to the  spider themed hero. I keep my red energy cascading out of my hands and point a hand over to Peter. Once I see him enveloped in my red mist I lift my hand up and pull it in towards me, bringing him the same direction across the river. I gently release him from my hold and he lands on his feet just in front of me.

"Thanks, that was so cool. Do you want to race up to the top?" Peter thanks, whilst turning our attention to the tower on the other side of the street where our final destination is.

"I'll meet you there." I agree throwing my powers into the ground propelling me into the air and then letting my powers keep me in the air and ascend up the building even more. In the corner of my eye, I see Peter slingshotting himself with his webs halfway up the tower and crawling up the rest.

Naturally, I won based on how I can fly at a high speed whereas Peter could only crawl, albeit he didn't take that much longer to scale the building.
