They say that supernatural creatures are born of evil. They have no soul and there's no saving them. The creatures of darkness thrive from the dark because the light of day is only for those who are pure.
Werewolves are strongest at night, vampires have to keep to the shadows, ghouls and other demons only come out to play when the sun goes down, and a witch's power is drawn from the lunar cycle.
They say it's our job to protect humans from the darkness that lurks in our world. That's why The Organization came together.
Once called The Torch, a symbol of lighting the dark to purify our world from the vile creatures that clung to the shadows like a safety blanket. Dropping the name in favor of anonmity. When you refer to something as an organization, no name attached it's harder to track. When dealing in the darkness of the paranormal, they don't want just any human stumbling upon them.
I come from a founding family of this group. My ancestors gathered with four others in solidarity to kill the beasts that had been tormenting them. The stories of their formation spurring what we have today.
There are a few familes out there who wonder if what The Organization has become is really following the path of the founders. Was this truly what they wanted us to do? Did they want us to kill any and every creature we could find?
Some of us think that isn't quite true, and we want to bring back the original intent of The Torch.
My name is Trevor Durin, and I am one of the few.
