Scarlet, the color itself can represent courage, passion, force, joy and heat. Light yellow is often associated with intelligence, freshness and joy. However, dark yellow represents caution, jealousy, decay and disease. Dark yellow, is the color of the merman's tail once he met his fated mate.
Y/N's POV
After treating Dio's wounds, I ask, "What happened to you?"
"I was swept away from a tsunami and the last thing I remember was something green?" He said, unsure.
"That's me! Hiya! My name is Miku!" She said really happily.
Welp, looks like she's got another crush. Hopefully it lasts longer than three months this time. At least she's finally over that dumb Prince Jotaro. Thank the gods that he's finally taken! By a merfolk of all people, er fish! I don't know! I'm not some fish lover!
"Uh, hey Miku, can you grab some of the food from my bag?" I ask.
If I'm going to help her get a boyfriend, step one, make sure that she doesn't talk. Silence really is golden, especially for Miku.
"On it, Mossy!" She adds.
"Mossy?" He asks.
"Oh, well, when I first met them, I was covered in moss from head to toe," I admitted, "I fell by accident and the three of them helped me out of the water. After that, I came back every day to feed and play with them."
Way to go, Y/N! Impress the merman by telling him your most embarrassing moment.
Rather than laughing, he looked more intrigued in a way. As if he's studying me, learning as much as he could from that one sentence.
"Y'know, I'm more surprised that you're not freaking out?" I ask, curious of the dark yellow merman.
"Well, why would I freak out to the woman who saved my tail?" He added as two of his fingers began go play with my h/c hair, despite its length. It's not like I hated it, but sometimes it bothers me because it's too short/long.
"Well, you met Miku, your savior," I pointed to Miku.
Miku may seem to be a princess with her long green twin tails and emerald tail, but it's nothing compared to her heart. It's often in the right place, but her actions are speak louder. One time, because I forgot to bring Izumi his bubbles, she filled my bag with rocks and drew pictures of bubbles on them with one of my favorite pens. In her train of process, she thought I would remember to bring bubbles if she gave me bubbles back. But since she couldn't put real bubbles into my bag, she decided to make pictures of bubbles and used my favorite sparkly f/c pen to make them, pop.
I have to admit, I never once forgot the bubbles after that whole incident.
"Over there is Sakura," I pointed next.
Sakura, like her name, her tail is pink as a sakura blossom. Her hair is deep red, that of a cherry. Her hair practically makes me crave cherries whenever I see it bounce up and down during her tricks. Despite her name, she hates cherries but loves salmon. She says that the salmon tastes like love to her, because of how pink it is.
"And that's Izumi," I added pointing to him.
Izumi was as handsome as any merman that I've ever met, and I've only met two! Despite him being a male, I've had to tell myself multiple times that he wasn't a girl, even though he would model in the skirts that I've offered to the other mermaids. He may be the only male, but he was also the youngest out of the three. His dark blue hair matched perfectly with his cerulean tail. Often, I wondered what would he look like if he could have legs.
