Nokk x Maverick

Chapter 1: the start

It was pitch black, nothing was moving out in the dense forest they had been sent to. Nokk was thrilled to be out in her element. Surrounded by so many things she could hide herself in and never get found unless she decided to be caught by somebody. Though she wasn't going to go all out unless she needed to since she had a partner working with her this time. She normally worked alone but she had Maverick for a change, while she didn't need it she was happy to have somebody that could help her out if she got into a pinch. Kneeling on a branch she stared out into the forest wondering how far away the cluster of buildings were from their current location. "You said they were an hour's walk out?" She asked quickly and went right back to being silent. 

"Well that's what Intel said" he says quickly while looking at the GPS, "Alright...let's go then." She replied and quickly began walking off in one direction. He starts to lead the way to the building while saying "why did you pick me for this mission" She kept walking but turned to look back at him. "Because I know your skills...and they are useful for these types of missions." "okay, well we should almost be there" he said while looking back at the GPS "Just up ahead...I can hear them talking." She added before reading her gun and ducking into some bushes.(edited) he crouches down to see if he can see them, he keeps walking until he sees them then says "there's only three of them" "Seems like it." 

She says silently and walks around silently through the bushes until she gets close to them. "Ready when you are." She whispered into a comm. "ready" he says while getting his gun ready. She readies her SMG and shoots two of them, killing them on the spot. He shoots the last one in the ankles and the arms. He runs over to him and covers his mouth while saying "hey he's all yours' ' She stepped out and walked over grabbing her knife. Slowly she pressed it against his neck. "Talk...or you start losing fingers." "I am going to let you take care of this guy. I need to go do something real quick" he says while walking back into the woods. She nodded and talked with the man for a few moments before finally just killing him. he walks back after a couple minutes to see all the bodies gone while saying.

"so did you get anything useful" "No...they knew nothing useful." She said slowly and fixed her mask. "What was that about?" She asked, referring to him walking off. "I had to do something, did he mess up your mask or something? '' he asks while walking towards the buildings. "Tried to fight back....almost pulled it off." She replied and followed him. "Well we can't have that happen, people always wonder what you look like, some people make bets to see if they can get your mask or see your face, '' he says while rubbing the back of his neck, sounding nervous hoping not to get dropped. She didn't reply and kept walking behind him, after a minute she finally spoke. 

"Why do you all want to see it so bad? My face is nothing special." "Well it is a human instinct, humans want to see something they can't see or touch" he says as he looks back. "Still, all of you know I don't want my face being seen. Why not just leave me be." She replied and caught up with him. "because people want to, i don't know why" he says as he falls behind her so he can stare at her ass. "Have you ever tried to take it off me?" She wondered but kept looking forward. "No, because I would rather not die, '' he says while still looking at her ass but quickly looking at the gps instead. "Good....least someone in rainbow is smart." She looked back for a moment then walked inside, it was silent so she didn't bother checking. 

he smiles before saying "do we know what building it is" "Looks to be where they slept based off the three beds." She said slowly. "where do you think they are keeping it" he asks looking around "Well they were dumb as rocks so nowhere hard." She replied and began to look around. "So what exactly are we looking for? '' he asks while picking stuff up. "Small brown box, made of metal with an eagle crest made of gold." She answered and lifted the mattresses. "Well I think I might have found it, the idiots are using it as a paperweight" he says as he picks it up and gives it to her. She shook her head and chuckled. Taking it and looking at the box, producing a key from her pocket she opened the box and pulled out a diamond. 

"This little rock is going to be used to make the deadliest weapon on earth. And they...used it to hold down there paper." "Why would they have this? '' he asks while looking at the diamond. "They stole it from a truck that was taking it to the weapon factory producing the weapon." She answered before putting it away and closing the box. "what type of weapon, and i swear to god if it is a death ray" he chuckled "Not a death ray, and I am not supposed to say." She said but gave out a chuckle. "Okay, well let's get out over here" he says as he opens the door. "Let me call for evac." She pulled out a phone and lifted up her mask slightly just enough to slip her phone in. Sleek black hair was visible. He nods then walks through the door but does spot the black hair.
