Chapter 1

Hermione and Harry were staying at the burrow waiting for term to start. It was one week before 4th year started. Harry was having a hard time sleeping so, he went outside and sat by a tree letting his thoughts wander into the nightfall. Hermione heard someone step outside, and she thought that it was Ginny, so she decided to go outside to see who it was. It was her best friend Harry.

"Harry?" asks Hermione walking up to him.

"Hmm?" says Harry. "Why are you out here it's nearly 2 in the morning" Hermione asks. "Oh erm- I had a bit trouble sleeping" says Harry. "Oh well... may I join you?" Hermione asks Harry. "Erm sure" says Harry. Hermione felt a bit odd about Harry as if she developed a soft spot for Harry, actually not a soft spot. Hermione has always had a soft spot for her best friend. It was more of a vulnerable feeling if you may call it?

She thought of him how she felt about Ron, but she wasn't sure if it was something small or something big....

She felt different about Harry in a way but decided to put it to the side and not worry about it. "Hey erm can I ask you something" asks Harry. "of course," says Hermione. "So... I was thinking about something" says Harry. "I want to break up with Ginny" says harry. "Woah Harry are you sure?" asked Hermione.

"I think so, I just don't think it's working out between us" says Harry

"Oh, well just make sure this is something that you want" says Hermione. "Why?" asked Harry. "Well, I think that it's very important to make sure you want this" says Hermione. "Well... I'm sure it's something I've been wanting for a while I'm just upset this is how it turned out because I did have a lot of love for her." says Harry.

"Well, I suggest you should wait until we get to Hogwarts so there won't be any bad blood here and it would be super awkward" says Hermione. "Alright..." says Harry, "I actually think I fancy someone else as well" says Harry

"But I'm not sure" says Harry

"Well, I wish you good luck because you sure will need it" says Harry. "Why do you say that?" asks Harry. "Because Ginny is one feisty girl, I can tell you that much" says Hermione. "Well goodnight Harry, I'm going to go back in and go to sleep" says Hermione giving him a half smile. "Goodnight, Hermione" says Harry still sitting as Hermione stands up walking towards the house.
