Esther POV: Continued

I stood up from the counter and wiped my face going up the stairs and callin my dad.

"Hello?" My dad answered the phone and I sniffed "daddy i gotta go ta da hospital" I told him while puttin on some sweatpants and my socks and East's slides since I already had on his hoodie.

"Whatchu mean! You hurt?" He asked me "you pregnant?" He raised his voice "no! East got shot at and Nova's comin ta pick me up" I said  "What! You want me ta come up dere?" He asked me and I shook my head and heard the door bell ring.

"Naw dad I love you I gotta go I'll txt you" I said and hung up the phone grabbing my purse.

I ran down stairs and hugged Nova. She was a little hesitant at first making me scrunch my eyebrows until she fully hugged me.

"Come on" I said and walked to her car gettin in and closing the door behind me. She got in and looked over at me holding my hand "I'm sorry" She looked liked she was apologizing for something else "it's not your fault" I said and turned my head.

"I'm still sorry" nova mumbled.

"Excuse me Do you have an East Daniels here?" I asked the lady assistant who was chewing her gum and was on the phone while the whole group was behind me besides Cash and Tyler.

She looked over and rolled her eyes before talkin again "Yeah girl im strugglin!" She said and I cleared my throat "Ik your strugglin I'm lookin at the top of yo head right na it got struggle written all over it" I said and took the phone from her hand unplugging the phone and throwing it.

"Now tell me where East Daniels room is!" I yelled at her wrappin my hands around her throat and Liyah pulled me back and ta da side "you gotta chill out" She chuckled "how she gone tell you if you chokin ha?" She asked me and I frowned took ah deep breath and nodded.

She gave me ah shoulder pat "thank you" I said and she nodded.

We walked back ova dere and the lady was stuttering "he's not out o-of surgery y-yet" She said and my eyes widened "surgery?" I asked her and she nodded her head "him and his friend came in at the same time a shootout" She told me and I shook my head.

"Who was the other person?" I asked her and she looked "uhhh Brandon Simmons" She nodded her head "he's the other person" I put my hand on my forehead and sighed "poor Tyler" Zamora said and Nova rolled her eyes.

"Can we like wait or something?" I asked her and she nodded and pointed "go to floor two and there should be two gentlemen waiting there already" She informed us and I nodded.

"Can we see them after?" Mannie spoke up and I nodded my head "yeah can we?" I asked her also and she made a jeez face "idk it's for family only and both families are already coming up here" She told us and I rolled my eyes. This is not how I wanted to meet my mother in law.

"I'm his girlfriend" I said and pointing all around "were like brothers and sister WE are family" I said and she nodded "if both families allow you to see them then you can" she said and looked down.

"Alright thank you" Liyah said and we made our way to the second floor.

"I'm sorry for almost chokin you I'm just-" she stopped me "No I'm sorry for being rude your fine!" She told me and I nodded and took out a hundred "hope this helps pay for the phone I broke" I looked over at the broken phone and she laughed.
