What I think will happen if I survive Apocalypse

Scenario #3

"So, Arion...umm, are you- are you really a fairy?"

I can hear Abby's hesitant but excited voice from the living room.

"Isn't it obvious? Of course I am! Have you ever seen a human as beautiful as me?"

I rolled my eyes at Arion's remark. That shameless fool.

"So can I see your wings?!!!"

I saw Abby's puppy like eyes as she almost jumped at Arion who was taken aback. His wings huh... Oh no it's gonna be troublesome.

"Well... I lost my wings when I turned into an undead", Arion said while lowering down his head. And here we go again...

Sun and Abby fell silent and let Arion continue.

"I'm a wind fairy and I used to have the prettiest wings in our kingdom, and whenever I woke up there'll be a very long line of fae waiting for me outside my tree hole. Of course I'm happy that they adore me, but sometimes it's suffocating to have all those eyes watch your every move... that's why I often sneak to the human world. You humans are so fascinating in every way, you're always busy like ants. Please don't misunderstand, I'm not rebuking you, it's just you're the opposite of us fey who live a carefree life. Maybe because we have different lifespan, you live like your always chasing something while we live with assurance that tomorrow will always come, so what's the hurry? I thought it will only be another one of my escapade when I visited your world that day but I couldn't believe what greeted me. People are running everywhere, unlike before they are actually chasing one another. I was confused and stared at the scene before me for a very long time when a girl approached me. You see, kids are more sensitive to us, some can feel our presence but some can actually see us and interact with us. So, this little girl walked straight towards me very slowly, her clothes and face was stained with blood but even so she stared through my eyes, curious I let her approach me. She stopped before me, mouth agape as if she was going to say something. She's barely making a sound so I bend over and lowered my head to her level. I felt here little cold hands touch my shoulder but I didn't pay any mind to it. I can hear her breathing as she slowly close in but the words never came, instead I felt a piercing pain in my neck. I never felt pain before and I was so shocked I couldn't move for a while. When I came back to my senses I saw some humans rushing towards me with their mouths open so I flew away carrying the girl in my arms who was still biting in my marvelous flesh. I landed on top of a building and tried to talk with the little girl into letting go of me when I saw Jes for the first time. I was going to fly to another place but strength already left me. Jes slowly walked towards us, and when she's close enough she said "I'm sorry", I thought she was feeling sorry for me but I've never been so wrong. She pointed her gun at the little girl and shot her, I never had the time to be surprised coz the next instant I was laying on the ground with a bullet in my head. I've never been so scared I still feel the chills whenever I think about it. The moment I opened my eyes I felt thirsty, so thirsty I'd do anything for a drop of water. Everything was a blur and I moved purely based on instinct. I grabbed unto the water source and sank my teeth into it until water flows out. Only after quenching my thirst did I realize that I'm holding into a human body. I let go of it immediately, and wiped the fluid of my mouth only to see blood. I was starting to panic and decided to return home when my wings wouldn't come out, instead my senses became sharper and I feel strength like never before. Vampire. I turned into a blood sucking vampire. Before I could even scold myself for being such an idiot, I turned my head when I heard a whimper. It was the lady who shot me and the lady I've bitten. She was glaring at me, sending daggers through her eyes then said "Fuck you", before she blacked out".

Arion clapped his hands once before saying, "And that's the story of how I lost my wings and how I met Jes. Uh, I'd trade Jes for my wings anytime".

"Wow, says the fae who'd be zombie food without me" I cut in while putting down the food on the table.

"What a Twilight-Disney experience, the world ended and you've been living the life you wanted while we're experiencing Walking Dead. How come you're so lucky? " Sun finally opened her mouth and I know I was gonna get it.

"Well Arion told you the overview but what we experienced was uglier and harder than that. You don't know how hard it is to baby-sit a Fae turned vampire who have zero Earth knowledge".

"But still, I'm jealous. I wanna be a fairy!" said Abby.

"Can we stop this for now and eat first? I'm hungry, let's continue with the drama after filling up our bellies shall we?", damn it feels so good to finally say it.

"Oh boy, I feel like I'm back on Earth again", Sun said before biting on her sandwich.
