Chapter 4

"So, what are we gonna do?" I asked.

As usual, my best friend, or should I say my only friend, had an emotionless expression.

"We should invite the three of them to participate."

"Who should invite who?"

"I'm going to be inviting Ike and Yamauchi, while you invite Sudou."

"Wait a second, why am I the one who's gonna ask Sudou?"

If I recall, Sudou, the red haired guy is dangerous. I don't want to die.

"Is there something wrong?"

"It hurts me that you want me, your only friend to be killed by a delinquent."

"I'm sure you can handle it."

I sighed. "Fine."

After we both decided that I'm going to be inviting Sudou, I approached him as I could feel my fragile body shaking a bit.

"H-hello Sudou."

He glanced at my direction giving me a look that terrified me.

"You're Koba- what is it again?"

"It's Kobayashi."

"Why are you here?"

I enhaled and exhaled.

"Horikita is having a study group, and she said she wanted you to join."

"Why should I?"

"Because if you don't, you'll get expelled. Plus, with your grades like that you're the most likely to get expelled in our class."

"Are you saying that I'm stupid?!"

"Technically, yes."

He suddenly grabbed my collar as my expressionless gaze still remained.

"The hell'd you say to me?!"

Are you deaf?

"It's nothing, my tongue slipped that's all."

"I'm leaving, talking to you makes me sick."

"Y-yeah..."

Mission failed.

I met up with Kiyotaka in his room as I looked around. His room seemed normal, more like my room. There weren't any decorations around, just a room of a simple high school student.

"So, what happened to Ike and Yamauchi?"

"They refused. What about Sudou?"

"He almost killed me."

"I knew it was hopeless. We'd better get help from someone they get along with."

"You're right, but who?"

"Kushida."

Kushida seems like the kind of person who would definitely be friends with them already, so I agreed with him anyway.

"Since we don't have her number, we should call her using the internal phone lines."

"True."

Kiyotaka picked up the telephone in his room and started calling.

"Yes. Could you put me through to Kushida-san, from class 1-D?.... Yes, I need to talk to her about something for class. Yes."

After a few seconds, Kiyotaka started talking to her on the telephone as I listen to their conversation while I was laying on my friend's bed.
