(Alyssa's POV)
I waited until 4:00 in the morning before I went out to wait for the boys. I thought that was a decent time to get there, but I was so wrong. There was already a line ten miles long. Okay so maybe I am exaggerating a little, but not by much. The line was so long! Once I stepped in line a big, muscular security guard came and closed the rope behind me.
I had no idea what he was doing until the next two girls came up. The started to remove the rope, but stopped when the security guard grabbed it.
"Oh sorry we were just going to get in line." one of them said.
"I'm very sorry girls, but there isn't any room left. The maximum number of girls aloud has already been reached. I'm afraid you can't go in."
The looks on their faces could resemble ones of a little kid when you told him his pet had died and wasn't coming back. It was heartbreaking to see.
"You mean we can't see the boys."
"I'm afraid so."
"Can't you just let us in? It's only two extra girls."
"I'm sorry girls, but I am under strict rules, and it is my job to keep the boys safe, and to get them in and out as fast as possible."
"Whatever!."
One of the girls said grabbing the other's arm and dragging her off back the way they came.
I can't believe it. I was one person away from not seeing Liam again. If I would have waited just another minute or so, then my chances of seeing him, and being friends again would have been out the window.
I sighed in relief as I sat down where I was at figuring I wasn't going to be moving any time soon. It was really cold outside for some reason, but luckily I came prepared. After my experience waiting in line with Liam for his audition I knew the things I needed to bring just in case. I pulled a small pillow and blanket out of my bag, and set it up so I could try to get some sleep. The ground actually wasn't that uncomfortable. Or maybe I was just so tired it didn't even matter to me any more. Just as I was drifting off to sleep the very giddy, very awake girl next to me decided she wanted to talk.
"So are you excited?" she asked me practically bouncing up and down.
"Yeah I am."
"I am so excited too! I can't wait to meet them. They are just so hot, sweet, caring, amazing……………….."
I zoned her out trying to get back to sleep. Once again I was interrupted by the girl tapping me on the shoulder. Groaning I sat up deciding I wasn't going to be getting sleep any time soon. I looked at her waiting for her to say something, but all she did was stare at me like she was waiting for an answer.
"Oh I'm sorry what did you say?" I asked trying to make it seem like I didn't hear her.
"I said who's your favorite of the boys?" well thats an easy question.
"Liam." I answered without a second thought.
"Oh really? He is probably my least favorite out of all of them, well except for Niall. I don't even know why he is in the bad he doesn't even deserve it like the rest of them."
I felt my blood boil. I didn't know much about the other boys, but I knew that they got hate, and thing that people say to them are uncalled for, and unnecessary. First she insults Liam, then she insults one of his best friends.
"How could you say that?! Both of those boys are beautiful, and talented. Niall deserves to be in the band just as much as Harry, Zayn, Louis, and Liam. You have no right to say anything like that!"
Once I finished yelling at her I felt my face begin to cool down. She just stared at me stunned. I'm guessing no one has ever stood up to her before the way that I did. That's a great way to start off three hours of my sitting behind you. I flopped down angrily trying, once again, to fall asleep.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Lets just say the whole "falling asleep" thing didn't work out.
It is somewhere around six in the morning, and I can feel the excitement bubbling up inside of me. I can't wait to have him back! I do have to say that waiting hours, outside, in line with hundreds of teenage girls is a little over the top. I should just be able to go up to him, and give him a quick hug like we used to do. Why did everything have to get so complicated?
The boys got here a little earlier than expected. Instead of seven, it was more like six thirty when we say the huge tour bus pull up to the mall. Screams erupted from all around me. I don't know how these boys weren't deaf already. It took them about ten minutes to get the boys and everything set up, then they started to let us in. One by one.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
I have been waiting for two hours, and the line is moving so slowly. I finally made it into the mall where I could just see the tops of their heads. From the looks of it I was only around twenty people away from them.
The anticipation grew as I got closer to the boy who I once called my best friend.
Finally there was one person separating me and the boys. As she moved on down the table I stepped up to the first boy. Zayn.
"Hello love." he said smiling at me. Well that or the fact that I was the last girl of the day.
"Hi Zayn." I said smiling slightly at him.
"Who do I make this out to?" He asked taking my picture of all of them I had in my hands.
"Alyssa." He quickly signed his name and a little note on the picture then slid it down to the next boy.
"There you go love." He said smiling at me as I continued on to Louis. The same pattern continued till I reached Niall, who was the second to last one at the table. The girl that sat in front of me in line hours again had just made her way to Niall as well. I waited patiently as she talked to him. I saw his face go from a smile to a frown as she continued saying something to him. Listening into their conversation I heard her telling him that he was ugly, worthless, didn't deserve to be in the band, and worse that he should go kill himself.
"Hey! What did I tell you earlier? Leave. Him. Alone. He is not ugly or worthless, and he deserves to be in the band as much as the other four do. Now either move along or get out!" she just rolled her eyes at me, and continued on down the table. I walked up to Niall. He had a few tears running down his face that he was trying to wipe away.
"Hey love." he said quietly as I walked up to him.
"Hi Niall."
"Thanks for that by the way."
"It was nothing Niall. She had no right to say any of that to you. You didn't do anything wrong." he smiled up at me slightly.
"So who do I make this out to?"
"Alyssa." I said spelling it out for him when he asked. He handed the picture off to the last boy. Smiling I made my way to the very last boy as he finished up with the other girl.
Liam.
I have missed him so much. Just being this close to him made me want to cry from happiness. I never thought I would see him again after he stopped talking to me, and now I was standing in front of him.
"Hey love who do I make this out to?" He asked without looking up at me.
"Hi Li." I said softly using the nickname I gave him two years ago. I saw his smile start to fade, and his eyes widen. He looked up from my picture as if in slow motion. Recognition written clearly on his face. There was one more expression I wasn't expecting. Disbelief.
"Alyssa?"
