(Alyssa'a POV)

Dinner was the most fun I have had in a while. The boys were exactly like I remembered them. Niall tried to eat the entire menu, he probably would have done it too if we hadn't limited him to one meal. Zayn just about killed Louis for messing up his hair, which was honestly one of the funniest things I have ever seen. Harry had tried flirting with me after we had sat down, but I turned him down quickly. I looked over at Liam to see him frowning slightly at Harry. I wonder what that as for. Louis was telling jokes the entire night. They were super corny, and I had heard them all before, but you couldn't help but laugh along with him. And Liam was there to laugh along with everyone else while stopping a few arguments before they got too out of hand. I guess he really was "Daddy Directioner". I knew I wasn't going to be able to stay mad at Liam. He's one of those people know matter how mad you are, or you think you are at them, you can never stay mad them long because they always end up making you smile. We had stayed a little later at Nandos than we had anticipated so I agreed to let the boys crash at my place for the night with the condition that it still looks like a house after they leave. That got a laugh out of the boys, and a promise from Liam to keep them in order.

At the moment all of the boys were crashed around my living room. They had fallen asleep during the middle of Toy Story which Liam had insisted we watch. Slowly I moved myself out from underneath Niall, who had fallen asleep on top of my, and over to the tv to turn it off. Afterwards I slowly made my way up the stairs and into my bedroom. As quietly as I could I closed my door. I sighed as the door closed, and walked over to my dresser pulling out my pjs and changing:

Right as I was about to climb into bed I heard a quite knock. I sighed and trudged my way to the door thinking that my mom was finally home, but I felt my eyes widen as I saw who was standing at the door. Liam smirked at me as he looked over my outfit.

"Nice pjs." he said smiling even more. I smacked him on the arm and made my way to sit down on my bed.

"Shut up, I like batman, get over it." I sayer playfully glaring at him. Quietly he closed the door behind him, and came to sit down on my bed with me.

"Really? Me too!" a smile slowly made its way onto his face.

"Since when?" I asked confused. I thought he said he  had never seen them before.

"The boys and I had movie night the night after the first live shows on the Xfactor and we watched the first two." I felt the smile fade from my face.

"Oh yeah." I mumbled looking down. He looked at me with furrowed eyebrows.

        "Are you okay?"

"Of course. Why wouldn't I be?" I asked trying to make it seem believable, and apparently I'm not a very good actress.

"Come on Alyssa I know you well enough to know that you aren't okay. What's wrong?" he asked scooting closer to me.

"You forgot about me Liam." after a second of thinking of what I was talking about Liam caught on.

"No Alyssa I…." I cut him off before he could make any stupid excuses, because to be honest I wasn't really in the mood to hear them.

"No Liam, you left me. You forgot me Liam. I tried calling you. I tried texting you, and at first you would answer. You would always answer, but then as the days went on you answered less and less to the point you wouldn't even respond to my texts. I didn't stop though. I watched every performance, every elimination, every video diary, everything you've done in the past two years. I still tried calling you, not everyday, but often, and all I got was a dial tone. Do you know what it was like without you here? It was hell Liam, hell! The bullying was ten times worse, because you weren't here to protect me. It was even worse when they found out that you weren't talking to me, it just gave them a reason to make fun of me for being a lonely nobody that even my supposed best friend wouldn't even talk to. Why would you do that Liam? Why would you leave me like that?"

I didn't notice that I was crying until Liam reached over to wipe away my tears, pulling me close to him. We sat like that in silence for a few minutes, until I felt little drops of water hit my hair, that's when I knew he was crying as well. He pulled back from me slowly, wiping his tears away as he looked my in the eyes.

"Alyssa. I am so so so sorry. I meant to call you back, I really did, but things just got so hectic. There was always something going on whether it was an interview, performance, or recording in the studio. Then some how a fan got ahold of my number and spread it all over twitter. I had to get a completely new phone, and new number. When it finally crossed my mind I didn't know how I was going to reach you. No one I knew, knew you. I know I didn't try enough Alyssa. I should have tried harder and I know that. Please forgive me. Let's just go back to being best friends again."

I looked into his eyes trying to find an once of dishonesty, but there wasn't any. I knew Liam was telling me the truth. He wouldn't ever lie to me, but at the same time I couldn't find it in myself to fully forgive him. He was right after all, he didn't try hard enough. It didn't even seem like he thought about me all that much when all i ever did was think about him, and think about how his life was. I knew if I spent any more time looking into his pleading eyes I would crack and give in like I always do, but not this time though. Taking a steady, yet shaky breath I looked him in the eyes.

"I don't know if we can ever be best friends again Liam…."
