It's surprising how everything begins to work out for you as soon as someone walks into your life.

Martha had become more than my babysitter.

She was my best friend – the only person I could trust.

She seemed to have a solution to every one of my problems.

"I'm a bit nervous." I told Martha.

Kayla was going to be at my house anytime soon.

Martha had set everything.

It was like we were going on our own little date.

"Just be calm and polite."
"Girls love it when boys are polite."

Martha hadn't finished tipping me when the doorbell went.

She went over to welcome Kayla.

But it wasn't Kayla.

It was Yose.

I had forgotten Yose was going to be back from his trip today.

"Hi."

"Hi."

"And you are?"

"I'm Martha, Stan's babysitter."

Yose was quiet.

He only stared at her.

I didn't like the way he looked at her.

There was something 'ogling' about it.

"Who's he?"

"That's Yose, my older brother."

It was then I realized Martha and Yose had never actually met.

For some reason, I had a bad feeling about both of them meeting each other.

A few minutes later, Kayla arrived.

She looked beautiful.

She wore a floral gown with the sandals that always made her feet look nice.

I think it was the way her hair was styled that really got me.

**I might be eight but I've always had good taste.**

My 'date' with Kayla was simply exquisite.

She laughed at two of my jokes.

That's a lot of progress.

"Let me get the cookie jar."

She had mentioned she loved cookies, so I figured it would be nice to offer her some.

I met a crashing site in the living room.

Martha and Yose were sitting side by side laughing with each other.

It looked like they had gotten really comfortable in each other's skin.

Have they met before?
Definitely not.

I didn't ponder on the whole thing for too long.

As long as my 'date' with Kayla wasn't affected, there was no problem.
