the sun shone through the open window, basking the two in its bright light. it was silent, typical for the early morning, except for faint birds calling in the distance.
meili groaned and attempted to roll over but was held back by an arm pulling her closer. her eyes shot open, being met with a familiar face who was sound asleep.
chenle had his arms wrapped around the girl, her arms falling against his chest that slowly lifted along with his soft breathing.
meili found herself observing his face, the softness and innocence it held during his peaceful slumber.
suddenly his eyes flickered open, meeting the girl's. they continued to hold eye contact as their faces lay inches apart, neither making any moves to escape.
"hey," he mumbled, voice deep and scratchy due to just waking up.
"hey," meili replied, looking away from his gaze, quite intimidated. chenle smiled, pulling her closer so he could cuddle into her neck.
"you're a cutie," meili giggled, snapping a quick photo of him.
"hey!" he exclaimed playfully, annoyed by the girl.
meili had ended up sleeping over that night, since the two had fallen asleep watching movies. it was fine except for the fact that chenle treated the girl like his teddy bear, not letting her escape from his grasp.
meili's stomach rumbled, making her face go red as chenle laughed.
"want me to make breakfast?" he suggested.
"can you even cook?"
"of course i do," he scoffed, jumping out the bed with meili following.
