Everyone was freaking out about this amazing turn of events. I rushed onto the website, an intense feeling in my gut. When I got on, I felt some sort of happiness. But I still felt sad. And then I remembered.
Blocks. I played it all the time. I couldn't quite remember the objective, but there were blocks, as the game title suggests. I scanned some of the newer games, deciding which ones I might play after Blocks. I hurried over to the search bar to search it up. I saw multiple games, but the icon was still familiar, so I clicked on the one I remembered.
But then I saw a terrible sight.
After a few seconds of waiting for the game to load, I realized it wasn't loading. "Oh, flash shut down or whatever, right? So some of the games might not work... I really wanted to play Homesick Birdy." Cleo sighed.
I looked around for answers, and found out what Cleo said was right. Flash shut down a few weeks ago, so the flash games didn't work anymore. One of those flash games being Blocks. I suddenly felt some sort of emptiness in me, but then I got slightly reassured by Cleo reading something on the site about how the flash games will be playable again or something. While I felt a bit better, I still felt kind of sad that I couldn't play it at that moment, but I decided to move on and play some other games.
I played some of the newer games that looked fun, and a few of them looked like knockoffs of mobile games, which were hard not to laugh at. I looked through some other sections and found some fun games, and I tried to remember any other games I play on the site, but I just couldn't. While the period was coming to a close, I started feeling better. While I was sad we had to leave, I felt happy that our teacher let us use the computers for so long. We headed back to our classroom and grabbed our lunches.
Everybody ate and talk about what they did on the computers with their friends, Cleo and being no exception, especially to the laughing. After everybody ate, we all cleaned the room and got ready to go outside. When the bell rang for recess, everybody rushed out the door as fast as they could, heading off to do whatever they were going to do for recess. Cleo and I talked a bit more about the computers, then about the podcast we were talking about last recess. After recess, we got to go back to the library and play on the computers again. The teacher said we could play Girls go Games, but then I remembered something.
