Prologue:

Just like a picture ones reflection can paint a thousand words. I looked back at the girl in the mirror with smoldering chocolate brown eyes full light pink lips with strands of dark brown hair that cascaded  bellow her in a tangled heap. Her eyes radiated confidence her features were demur and ever so structured.

But the most prominent feature was the small but evident frown that embroidered her mouth. Her manicured Piano fingers moved towards her lips where she lightly grazed across  them. She wore a sad smile not because of sadness or discontent. But because even though she lived in a world so full of direction, she has never felt so lost.

The girl in the mirror tied her hair into a tangled bun and like the wind she was gone.

Sprinting down the stairs of my apartment I rushed to eat my already cold cream cheese bagel. My button down shirt was sticking out of the hem of my pencil skirt, my already loose bun barely keeping its posture and runny stocking clinging against my long legs.

I rushed for the door, yanking the 50 pound door that safe guarded my apartment building in Jersey open. A brisk gust of wind nipped at my exposed skin. It was the middle of October and already the weather had drastically changed since August.  Tugging my suit jacket closer to my chest I made my way to my  out dated Toyota Camery.

The door screeched opened and once inside I rev-ed the car to life and sped away.

Driving through the slowly paced  traffic I made my way to the Holland Tunnel. It never failed to amaze me how they managed to build a tunnel under a river  built  in zigzags and slopes.  Finally the tunnel ended and the white sleek bricks from the tunnel were replaced with endless skyscrapers.

Within minutes the tall sleek building that was Henderson industries appeared before me. HI  was a Multi-Billion dollar  company. The Henderson family was known to be one of the richest families of this era.

They even beat 'Walmart' in net worth.  Suddenly about 20 car horns blared behind me. I never realised the light turned green the HI building was truly a remarkable sight. I hastily pressed the car peddle knowing well enough that if I hadn't done so I'd have 20 cars crossing over on top of me. It doesn't take a genius to know that would not be so pleasant!

Pulling  into the parking lot It quickly came to my attention the exceeding amount of sleek black cars that plagued the area. BMW's, Mercedes, Audi's etc. You name it. While my little crusty Toyota wheezed its way towards the back of the lot it paled in comparison and then some.

Shifting into parking I reached for my bag and quickly got out of the car. Against the car window I could see my  blurred reflection. Disheveled  was to say the least. I tucked in my shirt and tried to flatten the wrinkles on it. Tugging on my grey suit jacket as an attempt to look presentable.

I tried my best to correct the mess that is my hair but we all cant work miracles. Making my way towards the double doors I noticed a mass of Gucci suites. I nearly shriveled up and disintegrated  and it wasn't due to the cold air.

I walked inside and a warm inviting breeze racked over my body. Oh the joys of a heating system, I mentally swooned.

Walking through the main office I made a B-line to the blond secretary filing her nails.
