1 week later

The house is beautiful.

The house is white with with a stone pathway, leading to a porch with dozens of potted plants. The inside is small and cozy; a living room area, decorated with even more plants and a kitchen with a small bar with stools.

There's no way Jun lives here. I mean, how could he even afford a place like this? What does he even do for a living...I forgot to ask mom.

I drag my suitcase up the hollow stairs. At the end of it is a short hallway and a big ass window that has a view of the beach from fareaway.

I stare out the window, enjoying the scenery. This place is way better than my old apartment. All I had views of were the homeless men throwing up on the sidewalk.

I hear quick soft footsteps and then a door opens, revealing a shirtless man. No, a shirtless Jun.

I haven't seen this dude for two years and our first encounter, he's shirtless. I thought I was over him but...

Come on.

For some reason, he's a bit taller and his body is still skinny and lean. He has a slight tan, I'm guessing from the summer, and he still has that messy dark brown hair. Except, now his jawline is more chiseled and he looks less like some angsty weirdo teenager and more like a cold, brooding, man. Shirtless man.

My favorite type of man.

"Oh," he says, his voice deeper than before. "Didn't know you were here."

"Yeah, I just got here."

There's this painfully awkward silence while he looks around, dazed. He probably just woke up. He yawns and then comes over to me. My heart pounds as he lazily, and still shirtless, comes my way, literally staring into my soul with those deep eyes.

"Follow me. I'll show you to your room."

I nod as the shirtless Jun walks down the hallway and opens the door. The room had a full sized bed in the middle with two nightstands and a dresser across from it. Theres a desk by a big window with flowy curtains.

"My mom decorated it." Jun says. "Since you're living here."

"That was too nice of her!"

"You can redecorate if you want."

"Nono! I like it the way it is."

Jun just stares at me for a minute.

"Okay." He shrugs.

He was never good with conversation. And he's  still shirtless. I try so hard not to look at his half naked body. I look away, pretending to care about the wall.

"Jade."

Fuck he said my name.

"Yes?" I say, staring at the wall.

"Look at me for a second."

My heart almost fucking pounds out of my chest as he asks me to do the very thing I was trying to avoid. As I look at him, he takes a few steps closer until we're just inches away. I hold my breath to keep myself from breathing heavily like a fool.

"I-"

All of a sudden, like a miracle (or maybe a curse), a door slams. Loud heel clicks and a woman humming are all I can hear, aside from my heart literally palpitatating.

"Juuun!" The woman says in a sing song voice. "Are you here?"

I look to Jun, rightfully confused, and he sighs and looks out the door.
