Amira's POV

I'm standing in the middle of the hallway wi my best friends Daniel and Parker talking to this kid Tyler I think his name was. I don't really know, I wasn't paying much attention. Today is the most chaotic day at the greenhouse, the day where every kid that has a dream of joining gets the hopes crushed due to the limited spots in this pristine school. As of right now the boys are giving the hopeful answers to the written test in order to get him to fill the last spot in our clubhouse. We are apart of the Eagles, the more physical house. Our rivals, the Ravens are the more "brainer" clubhouse. I get knocked out of my thoughts when a white kid with curly hair comes up to me and the boys,
" hey! Hi, Daniel. Um, I just wanted to let you know I'm a big fan, big fan!" He very excitedly then he looks down at me. "Oh, and a really big fan of you, Amira, being the first female player on the Eagles" he says with even more excitement
"thanks boo I really appreciate it" I say with a big smile. He was so happy, I hope Daniel doesn't ruin it.
"I'm trying out for the eagles,too. I'm a shooting guard. I've learned everything by watching you guys play! I'm Alex!" He says then sticks his hang out, Daniel kind of just shrugs him offend leaves him hanging, so I grab his hand. I give him a bright smile.
" yeah, cool" Daniel replies not interested at all. The loud speaker called another group.
"You okay?" Daniel asks. " the kid looks a little pale"  he says to Parker to which he scoffed at the comment. Really the kids white of course he's pale.
"Yeah, he's shaking like a leaf" Parker joins in on messing with the boy.
"Mmmmh, sign of weakness" Daniel continues.
"Definitely" Parker agrees.
"Yeah, they'll pick right up on that, too" Daniel adds. I'm just standing very uncomfortable for me And for Alex. I feel embarrassed that my friends are even doing this right now, so much so I don't know what to do.
"You know they will" Parker says.
"He's more Raven material" Daniel insults.
"Yo! Stop psyching out my brother!" A girl that looks a lot like Alex buts In.
  " there's a hundred applicants and one spot on the eagles. I'm just saying" Daniel justifies with a shrug. 
" it's okay. She didn't mean it." Alex tries to take his sister away.
" your the one that looks scared. What, your afraid someone younger and more talented will replace you? Just saying" Alex
Successfully pulls her away, I go and stop them. " hey! I'm sorry about them they aren't usually like that, they have their mind set on some pin head that can help us beat Whitney but I think you have a good chance of making it, the dude won't even pass the test. I'll be cheering for you,
Good luck!!" I tell him with a smile on my face. I kiss his cheek for good luck and hurry back to my dumb ass friends. Parker and I head to the gym. Daniel said he had to go somewhere and meets us there after ten minutes.
