We bantered back and forth for a while, making connections and differences (I have no idea why he hates anteaters).
I finished laughing about his tangent when he stood up.
"Listen Y/N, I've just realised I'm late for a stream. I'll see you later, yeah?" I nodded. I suddenly remembered and I tore off a piece of paper from to forms and quickly write my number on it. I handed it to him and and smiled a little. "Here's my number." He suddenly tore another piece off and wrote something on it. I looked down and saw his socials and twitch. He smiled back and and walked out.
I grabbed the board and put it back at the sign in place after signing it, open the doors and walked out. I continued down the road and turned the block. I pulled out my phone and started to search Wilbur up. His twitch channel was large, and I was almost shocked by the number of subscribers. I saw him streaming and I clicked. Suddenly the story about him hitting his arm made sense. He was yelling a bit, and seemed to be playing minecraft. He screamed again and I winced at how badly my ears hurt. I laughed a bit at him and I continued to walk down the road.

"Y/N! Are you going to Russia?!"
I suddenly jolted up. I turned around to see Monnie about seven meters away. I had been so enthralled by the stream I had almost missed my house. I clicked off my phone and jogged back.
"What were you smiling at on your phone? You looked like you were in love with it, you staring at it like that." Monnie's broad Northern Irish accent looped around her words she spoke. She led me inside and I flounced down onto the blue couch. It groaned a bit and I looked down at it, concerned. I gasped a bit and I swung my head around to look at Monnie taking off her long coat.
"I just remembered, how did the job interview go!?" She grinned at me.
"Really well. The wee man told me I was perfect for it. It's a grand salary, 20,000 pounds a year!" I gaped at the sound of that much money. I worked as a waitress in a local coffee shop and only earned 15,000 a year, barely affording the townhouse.
"You mean if you get it, we can move out of here!" I motioned around the old house."
"Definitely." I leapt up and hugged her.

Alright, let me step back. Monnie (or Monnetia) is my best friend and roommate, she moved here to Brighton from Londonderry to pursue her dream of being a writer. She was only twenty three, and we met at a bar. We moved in together nine months ago and she's been searching for a job ever since.

She laughed a bit and pulled back.
"Now, I need to call ma and da and tell them the good news." She approaches the house phone and began to dial a number.
"If you need me I'm going to be in my room." Monnie nodded. Our room isn't exactly two, it's just one with a divider curtain cutting through the middle. I had an old chipped white desk, a mahogany bookcase and a small wire bed. The walls were decorated with stickers and posters of bands I've long stopped following, and the hardwood floor was covered in a large fleece mat.

(If you don't like it imagine what you want.)

I sat on my bed, crossing my legs. I felt a buzz and I took out my phone from my back pocket. And saw that Wilbur had messaged me.
Wilbur:
Hi!
Y/N
Hello?
Wilbur
It's me from the hospital.
I saw you on my stream
And I just want to thank
You for sending a donation
Y/N
It's no problem. You really
Are a talented streamer, I
will give you that.
Wilbur
Thank you! Speaking of
which, do you want to
come on a stream sometime?

I was actually shocked by how straightforward he was. He certainly wasn't lacking in the confidence area. So I replied with a simple:

Y/N
I'll consider it

I went out of the page, not waiting for him to respond. I opened up his contact name and changed it to Anteater boy and I turned it off. I pulled a book off my shelf and started to read through it.

I was about thirty pages in when Monnie called out;
"I'VE GOT FOOD." I close the book and walk out of my room. She placed a bowl of stew on the table and I picked up a spoon. I swirled around the carrot and beef.
"What's up with you. All day you've been distracted." I purse my lips as I decide wether to tell her or not.
"I met a guy." Her eyes light up as she smiled so wide I thought she'd pull a muscle.
"You're kidding!" I shook my head solemnly, instantly regretting telling her. She pulled herself up into the counter and pulled in her knees.
"What does he look like? Any craic with him? Where did you meet him? Do you like him? How did you meet him? Ohhh! Is he a celebrity? Have you known him for a while? Is he-"
I cut her off my covering her mouth with my hand.
"It's none of your concern."
She gasped, her eyes twinkling with such force I thought they might combust.
"IS HE A SECRET!?" If there is one thing  Monnie loves more than anything, it's a secret. She babbled in about me, not in a bad way, but she accidentally slipped so many things that half the block now knew who my grandparents where, and how they were still sexually active.
"I promise I won't tell a soul." I scowled, eating some of the stew. I swallowed and said;
"No." She pouted and got off the counter, pursing her lips tightly.
"Well, I at least need to know what the seating arrangements are for your wedding. I want me and my girlfriend right next to you."
I sighed and continued eating.

Hi, the author is gonna talk now.
I switched it up a bit by having Y/N narrate Monnie backstory, I think I'll do that more often. I'm not updating as much because school is back and it's not that grand, so I will try to update once every couple days/ week. Anyway, thanks for reading yet again.
