A woman walks through the halls. Her dress and hair billow out behind her. Her eyes are as cold as night. Her skin is as pale as snow. She is as quiet as a mouse. The hallway never seems to end. It is cold in there, as cold as winter.

A child peers out. She looks like the woman, but put into a child's body. And her eyes, they are a pale, pale, pale, brown. They look like they are blind, but they are not. The child follows the woman, silent. The woman doesn't hear.

The woman turns sharply. She casts the child a cold look. Why are you here? The look seems to say. The child closes her eyes. "I don't want you to go, Haha." The child doesn't speak, but her words float through the seemly endless hallway.

The woman's look softens. "You know I have to...To keep you safe from your  Otōsan." The woman doesn't speak, like the child. Her lips don't move. Yet her words still come out.

The child looks at the woman. A tear trickles down her face. "Sayōnara, Haha." The woman hugs the child, crying without any noise. "Sayōnara, Musume." And then she walked down the hallway, leaving her child standing there.
