"Fuck off."
The amber-eyed boy pretty much barked at the orange haired boy who was clearly much taller than him, "Oh sorry, didn't see you there, I mistaken you for a stray dog for a sec."He hissed back with a smug look on his face. "Tch..."The boy gave up on this pointless argument which takes place everyday.
Or was it just because he couldn't defend himself?
Having survived Junior College wasn't all sunshine and rainbows for this boy, it just brought him to another stage of hell, luckily, he had his solitude to keep him company.
Usually, by people his age, you'd have at least a friend or two, or even a friendship group, but this extraordinary boy here is different, glowing amber eyes, lashes of jet black hair with jade green highlights and a black outfit that screams "I'm edgy as heck", he is none other than Xiao, one of the most unpopular people in the university.
Sometimes, it's hard to tell whether not he chose to be lonely, on one hand he always glances over at groups of people with mournful eyes, as if thinking of something, perhaps wondering what it's like to have a friend, but on the other, he's a menacing beast who growls at anyone who wanders anywhere near 5 ft around him, so who is it really to blame that he hasn't got any friends.
He even refused to have a roommate.
Dorms were a thing in Xiao's university, to enhance socialization, it was also a way for people to interact and possibly, make friends, but Xiao didn't like that idea, not once bit, he thinks socializing was a pain, something irrelevant, something not necessary to him, because to him, everyone in this society was "twisted and corrupted"in their own way, which disgusts Xiao or simply made him uninterested in other human beings, needless to say, he is a sociopath.
Introvert was an understatement, if it weren't for Zhongli, he wouldn't even have set foot out of his home at all, let alone even coming to school.
"Good afternoon, Xiao."Zhongli nodded as he walked past him down the hall, "Greetings, sir."Xiao replied back, earning a chuckle from the tall man, "No need for the formalities Xiao, just call me Zhongli." "Okay sir."Xiao was a bit...bland when it comes to speaking formalities.
But Zhongli doesn't mind, after all, he's got a reputation for being most calm and collected in school, a striving star in school known and respected by all, even teachers tend to play favourites with him, even though Zhongli was the one who brought Xiao up indirectly, it was ironic how Xiao was almost the complete opposite, who always got into trouble for beating people up whenever he pleases, or bad-mouthing the teachers like it was nothing.
"How was the classes today?"Zhongli asked warmly, usually Xiao would ignore questions like these, but Zhongli was an exception, he was loyal to him and sticks to him like a magnet when they go out to either eat or buy stuff, acting like a bodyguard scaring everyone off whom he thinks is wandering too close to him. "It's fine, I guess, we got group projects next week....ugh."Xiao sighed with disgust, the thought of having to work with others made him feel sick to the gut.
"It can't be that bad, oh and I heard there would be a new student transferring to our school, specifically your class, do say hello to him for me."Zhongli said before giving Xiao a brotherly head pat before waving bye, 'hah very funny, like I'm just going to walk up to someone and say hi' Xiao rolled his eyes, but still nodded and waved.
It's just another student, nothing special.

Once afternoon classes started, Xiao slouched back at the corner of the classroom, afternoon classes were the worst, it gets awfully boring and tiring and the blazing heat just gets into his head making everything more exhausting, how nice would it be if he were at home chilling with some food while sitting in front of the fan on full blast.
Inside the lecture hall, Xiao sat at the same seat again, but then he realized there's something different, someone's different. Making Xiao hope it's not another rude guy like Childe, the orange haired boy that just has to pick a fight with him all the time, or not some confusing girl like Fischl from another class who just has vocab so complicated to understand, really, makes him wonder, why the fuck are people so weird nowdays.
there was a moment of silence before footsteps made its way close.
Green
All Xiao could see is green, a boy? Yes, a boy. A boy with a height not to different from his, green shirt and shorts with a weird hair proportion, the back of his head was a bit shorter than the front, which was obviously longer considering how it was possible to tie braids in it, and he also had cool highlights, except they were glowing blue, reminding Xiao of Zhongli's glowing orange tips, the boy had a ridiculously wide grin which seemed to shine brighter than his hair as his lips curved and he greeted.
"Hello everyone! My name is Venti!"
