Chapter 8

"I'm sorry ma'am, you lost the twins," the doctor said politely. Oh my god I had twins growing inside me. I screamed at the top of my lungs and started sobbing. Liam pulled me to him and comforted me.

"Let's just go to the police station," I said. Liam nodded and helped me stand and we walked out of the hospital. When we got to the car Luke helped me into the back and sat with me.

"Luke, I lost the babies," I whispered while trying not to cry.

"Shh, it's okay. I'm here for you. Okay? I will always protect you," he said quietly pulling me onto his lap. I wrapped my arms around his neck and cried. Soon the car stops and Luke carries me out of the car and into the police station.

"We are looking for Officer Karen, please," Liam said to someone.

The person Liam was talking to went to get Officer Karen. Officer Karen came and told us to follow her. She took us to the interview room and told us that we are going to give our statements then we could go home.

"Okay, Clairee why don't you start with your statement. Liam I hate to be rude, but I need you to leave the room," Officer Karen said.

"No, I completely understand," Liam said standing up to leave.

"Okay, Clairee tell me what happened. Start from what you were doing before the incident please," Officer Karen said.

"It all started when I called Chris to tell him I was pregnant. He told me it was impossible because we had always used protection then I told him that the men he whored me out to didn't and it could be one of theirs and he told me to abort it and I said no. Then I told him that we have to stop seeing each other and he flipped and said that the baby could be his. I told him I would get a DNA test done the baby was born and hung up on him. I went to hang out with a friend and I was with her for 2 hours. I came home, was told dinner would be ready in about an hour. I went up to my room, I was in my room for five minutes when Ashton came up and told me someone was at the door for me. I got downstairs and Chris was at the door. I asked him what he was doing here and he said 'what I can't visit my girlfriend' I told him he could but I'm not his girlfriend. He slapped across the face and told me that we are not over till he says we are and then again told me that I will get rid of the child. I told him no and he grabbed my hair and I screamed so Liam, Luke, and Ashton came running into the living room to see what happened and I signaled to them to call 911. Luke and Ashton understood and called you guys. He heard the cops yelling outside and pushed me down hard on my stomach. I went to the hospital and they told me I lost the twins. Then I came here," I told her. Officer Karen thanked me and told me to wait outside and tell Liam to come in to give his statement.

"Liam she wants to talk to you now," I told him. He stood up gave me a hug and walked into the interview room. After about five or ten minutes he came out of the interview room with Officer Karen.

"Thank you Officer Karen, please do everything you can to put him in jail. He doesn't deserve to be walking free, who knows, he might do it to another girl," Liam said to Officer Karen.

"No problem Liam. Have a good night," Officer Karen said.

"Good night," Liam said and walked away. The car ride home was very quite. We got home and I went back up to my room and said up there the rest of the night with no interruptions. I slept until noon and when I wake up I still didn't get out of bed and every time someone came in I acted like I was asleep. Liam walked in at about 5 and he sat on the bed.
