Everyone has a song that captures who they are. No one but Leila Gonzalez can hear them.
Melodies and tunes fill her head everywhere she goes, and all she wants is to replicate them in her songwriting. There's just one problem: she sucks at songwriting. Lyrics are okay, but everything else? She'd rather hit her head with her guitar. That is why her guitar lessons are sacred to her.
But when her old guitar teacher quits unexpectedly, she has no option but to sit through lessons with the Neil Ferrer, lead guitarist of local band The Heights with about a million bad rumors to his name. And what's worst of all, Leila can't hear his song.
Dedication
To all of those that want to share their song but can't find the right melody. Your song will be heard very soon.

Hello, everyone!
Thank you so much for clicking in! I appreciate it very much. This work may come as a shock to those that follow me, but I figured I'd take a rest from the Forever Diaries for a few, and this just came about. The concept has been swirling around in my head for a while, and I've been itching to do a magical realism story for so long now. This doesn't mean I'm going to halt updating on FOREVER GLAMOROUS, I'm just going to have both projects co-exist. Besides, this is a short story, so it won't take too much time.
I've always been wanting to write a story about music as well, so this was interesting to delve into. I hope you enjoy the story as much as I do. I guess this serves well as a try-out before I write Book 5 of the Forever Diaries, which is going to be filled to the brim with music.
Don't expect this story to be incredibly complex and amazing. As I already mentioned, this was written during my break from my main wip (work in progress). And that break was only two weeks. This piece is super rough and under-developed. I wasn't taking it seriously, just having loads of fun. So...you've been warned.
I repeat: This story is super rough and under-developed since it took only two weeks to do. It was not taken seriously.
So if you want to read a YA magical romance realism short story, then read on!
All my love,
G
