Katelyn POV

"Mommy" Dom looks at with a puppy eye. "Yes my prince" I bend down looking at him. "Can we not go home" he throws his arm around me neck. "No, my love. We need to go home and pack up." He frowns and nods his little head.

"But, mommy my birthday is coming and I want to be with my friends." Oh shit how could I forget. "I know baby, I will hold a small gathering just you and your friends for your birthday." He nods his head and smiles. "Will daddy be there, you never invite him. Does he not love me? Mommy will you invite him. I want to meet my daddy at least once, before we move." He asks me playing with his hands. I don't know what to say. "Mommy he will come right?" Looking at me with sad eyes. "I will invite him and I don't know hun if he'll come or not."

After a 20 minute long silent drive. We get home. "Do you want my help Dom" I ask him. "No mommy I am a big boy now" he gives me a smile. "Whatever you say baby" I tell him and walk over to the door as I wait for Dom.

"Mommy, there's a man here" Dom yells out. I run to where I parked me car. Dom runs up to me and hold my leg. I see Marcus one of Ace's mafia member. "What do you want?" I ask Marcus as he steps closer to us. "Nothing" he says emotionless. "Mommy you know him" Dom asks me. "No, why don't you go home my prince." I tell him and he runs and locks the door.

"Why are you here Marcus" I ask with anger in my eyes. "Oh wow didn't expect you to remember me" he smirks at me, ugly prick. "Leave us alone!" I yell at him, without waiting for this response I turn around and walk to my door. Entering the door pass and it's opens.

Dom runs up to me with tears in his eyes. "Mommy did he hurt you? Are you okay? Please be okay? I will protect you mommy" I pull him into a hug. Omg he's so adorable. "No my love I promise I'm okay" I tell while we hug each other tightly.

Ace's POV
"Hey boss, Katelyn is the mother of the child. She picked him up from the preschool and drove home. She lives not far from here" he tells me with no expression. "It's a boy" I ask him. "Yes. He had blond hair, brown eyes."
"What the kid's name?" I ask him. "I don't know, she didn't mention him by his name." I see. "Let's go" standing up from the hospital bed. "Where too?" What a dumb question. "To my grave, no shit to Katelyn's house." Glaring at him.

Alter drive for 30 minutes we park outside a house that's has a nice structure. And there's 3 cars parked outside the house. I wonder whose cars those are. Im proud of her, I've never felt this proud before but i know I should be ashamed of leaving her but I had no choice. Do I regret it, yes.

I get off my car and walk to the door ringing the bell and I see a little boy running towards the door.

Katelyn POV

"Mommy there's someone at the door" I hear Dom yelling. "Alright baby I'm coming, done open it" I run downstairs to the main door and see fucking Ace outside looking inside from the window.

I walk to my door and he sees me coming. I open the door. "Hello love" he smile at me and then looks at Dom. "Why are you here!" I ask him harshly. Fucking Marcus snitched to him no shit Sherlock. "Well am I not allowed to be with my lovely girl." Dom runs up in front of me and says "who do you think you are talking to my mommy like that. You bully. Mommy let's go, close the door and let these farts stay outside." I chuckle and remember that Ace is still in front of my. I look at him as he stares at Dom. "Who's child is this!" He yells at me with anger growing in him.

"Mine" I state fearlessly. I won't let Ace hurt my son. I built a life from scratch and this man has the f****** guts to come and blow it all down again. "So who's the f****** father?" Ace almost loading his temper. Now I'm wondering what to say. Ace's eyes don't move from Dom. I can feel Dom is now scared, trembling against my legs. "He died before my son was born" I say not sure if I sound believable. "Baby why don't you go and put your favorite cartoon on tv, mommy has something to take care of" I bend down toward Dom, he has tears in his eyes, he's heard what I said about his father. Dom doesn't say anything else he just look at me in my eyes one more time in disbelief and runs away toward his bedroom and slams his door. Now I felt sick, sick of standing in front of the man I loved once, of the man I cared for, of the man who promised to protect me but left me because of money. Never forgiving you Ace. I look up and Ace is starring at me.

"That's what you told your son, that his father died? You may be able to trick him but I know you Katy." He says my name like he used to back when I thought he loved me. I don't respond because there's no point of lying to someone that knows me better then myself. "If he's my son you need to tell me, I need to know. If he's not my son I will leave you both alone for the rest of my life. Is that a fair deal?" I think about this. I think about Ace being a father of my son, can he protect him with all his heart? Will Ace love Dom? I think about what this could to my son and me, 'truth always comes out' my mom used to always say this. But no I can't risk losing my son. So I decide to lie about this. "He's not yours Ace." I say it in a strong, independent tone. I can see him frown, he's noticed that I lied again. Gosh I hate this man. "Won't you invite me in?" He asks so calmly. "No, leave here like you left me."
