(Y/N) shifted uncomfortably in her spot, standing about 30 ft away from the tall skeleton, watching as he carefully made his way across a patch of ice, which seemed to be the floor of the puzzle she'd have to. It didn't look so bad, save for the burning numbness she'd feel on her feet after, but it was just a patch of ice with foot switches she'd need to hit in order before being able to cross.
Once he was on the other side, he turned to her, smiling again. As much as he was scary, he seemed surprisingly nice. Perhaps it wasn't often he got to do puzzles with people.

"HUMAN! THIS PUZZLE IS ONE OF MY FAVORITES! THAT IS BECAUSE IT REQUIRES PRECISION AND ELEGANCE, THINGS WHICH I PRIDE MYSELF UPON! HERE, THIS ORB IS REQUIRED TO DO THE PUZZLE PROPERLY!"
He gathered an orb off of the ground, which had been set next to a pull lever - hopefully that didn't make anything too dangerous happen. He rolled it across the ice patch, and she picked it up.

"WHEN I PULL THIS LEVER, THE WALLS WILL GO UP, AND YOU WILL BEGIN THE INVISIBLE-ELECTRICITY-MAZE PUZZLE! ONE SMALL STEP OUT OF LINE, OR ANY TRYING TO CHEAT USING SHORTCUTS WILL SURELY LEAD TO YOUR PROMPT FRYING! SO! DON'T DO THAT!"

(Y/N) raised her eyebrows, and suddenly, Flowey seemed very interested in not being wrapped around her arm. She looked at the plant boy with pleading eyes. His gaze seemed sympathetic. She crouched down and let him crawl off of her, planting himself in the snow.

"You're not getting out of this one," He said, "I needed to get back into the ground soon anyway. Just... I'll try to help where I can. If you can keep him, or rather, his brother happy, you'll have a lot more time to not die."

(Y/N) nodded and stood, looking across to Papyrus. Hesitantly, she smiled, giving him a thumbs up. Papyrus giddily nodded, quickly pulling the lever on the puzzle. She watched the ground. It didn't seem to change, at least not visually, but she could feel the electricity. She looked over the foot buttons, noting the pattern they moved in, before looking back at Papyrus. Now at his side sat Sans, resting his weight haphazardly on a bloodied axe.
Now that she had a full view of him, she noted his comfy attire. The same blood-stained t-shirt and zip up, as well as black sweatpants that bagged around his ankles, embellished with a white stripe down the side, and pink fuzzy slippers. He stood at about shoulder height to his brother, at just around 6 ft tall. The two of them seemed like a fun duo - and perhaps they had been before whatever had happened - but now they were just downright terrifying.

"GO WHENEVER YOU'RE READY!" Papyrus called, prompting her to start moving – carefully, of course. Any mistake would be deadly. Sans seemed amused by her caution.

"what are you so afraid of?" He called, cocking his head, an eager grin on his face that overtook the usual sarcastic look he seemed so otherwise keen on giving her, "it's only 500 volts. you know, the average electric chair is 2000 volts.... i'm sure you'd be fine if you touched it."

"500?! 50 volts could kill a person!" She called, now clutching that orb closer, doing her best to keep her footing steady on the ice. Sans snickered. He knew what it took to kill a person. It really didn't take much, no matter how you did it. All it took was patience.

"come on kiddo, i'm sure it wouldn't kill ya,"

"I don't plan on testing that theory for you."

(Y/N) approached the exit of the maze, carefully stepping from the ice to the snow, making sure to have full footing on the solid ground before relaxing. Papyrus clapped, congratulating her for getting through. Sans said nothing, looking oddly laid back, still using his sizable weapon as a leaning post. (Y/N) set the orb down on the ground, back where it had been before they'd begun the puzzle, turning to look at the brothers.

"YOU DID VERY WELL ON MY INVISIBLE-ELECTRICITY-MAZE PUZZLE, HUMAN! WHAT DID YOU THINK OF IT? I DESIGNED IT MYSELF, BUT THE HIGH VOLTAGE WAS SANS'S IDEA."

"It was.." She thought for a moment, then smiled, "It's really well done, Papyrus. Though maze puzzles aren't usually my favorite, I liked it."

"WOWIEE! A FELLOW PUZZLE ENTHUSIAST! PERHAPS ANOTHER PUZZLE MIGHT BE BETTER SUITED FOR YOU? COME ALONG! THERE'S ONE JUST BEYOND THE TREELINE." Papyrus grinned, turning on his heel and parching onward with a jovial 'NYEH HEH HEH!'. Sans slung his heavy blade over his shoulder and followed close behind his brother, without so much as a glance in her direction.
She watched for a few moments, before looking around the tree line for Flowey.

Snow shifted behind her, and from the tree line she heard a shrill '(Y/N), duck!'. Without a second thought, she got down, and quickly after, she heard a heavy 'thwp', causing all the blood in her face to drain. She looked up. In the tree just above her, Sans's axe sat, embedded in the wood. Had she stayed standing, it probably would've been her head instead. She flopped onto her bottom, looking around frantically. Sans was nowhere in sight.
Flowey quickly popped out of the ground, looking over her nervously.

"I can't believe you dodged that! That was... Gosh. I didn't think he'd do something like that! He's insane..."

"Y-Yeah... god...." She murmured, hesitantly standing up, brushing snow from her legs. Her feet were red and numb, toes beginning to become purple. She needed to get herself someplace warm. She wiggled them, cringing in pain, before hesitantly beginning to head up the trail where Papyrus had gone. Maybe he would know where she could get some regular clothes...

The burning of the cold against her legs was 𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚕𝚕𝚢 starting to get to her.
