Baby - Bucky - Newborn

Daddy - Steve

"Hey, I'm gonna head home. I've got meetings tomorrow." Steve sighed as he stood up from the huge table the team sat at. He'd decided to leave early and checked his watch. 9:30 pm. Tony had decided it would be a good idea to go out for a couple of drinks since they never leave the tower. Of course, Steve opposed the idea and stated he would rather stay home, but they dragged him out of his floor. He didn't like it at all. Too many people, too many sounds, too many bright lights. It was hell for the superhero, but he stayed for the sake of his family.

He pulled his Yankees hat on and said his goodbyes to the team before exiting the bar. He huffed out a sigh and took a deep breath, thankful he finally got out of the retched place. He stuffed his hands in his pockets and looked around him to ensure he wasn't being followed or someone wasn't being hurt. He was around a block away from the tower when he heard sniffles and pitiful whimpers.

He furrowed his eyebrows and jogged down the alleyway without any hesitation. He slowed his pace when he got a few feet away and crouched in front of the figure, which he realized was a man with shoulder length chocolate brown hair.

"Hey, are you okay?" He asked in a gentle tone and the man flinched violently with a small whimper. Steve had somewhat of an idea of what was wrong after that. He was a little. Littles aren't uncommon, but they certainly aren't everywhere you look. Steve had never met one before and was immediately intrigued. "Sugar can you look at me?" He asked in a soothing voice and the boy couldn't meet Steve's eyes, which didn't go unnoticed. "I'm Steve by the way." He smiled a small smile and looked the brunette over. His eyes stopped on his left wrist and saw what he thought looked like a medical bracelet or an info bracelet. Littles normally have bracelets with information about their caregivers and themselves.

Steve slowly held his hands up and sat down on the ground in front of the brunette. "I'm going to take a look at your wrist okay?" The boy looked to his wrist and back up at Steve, his shoulders tensing just a little bit more. Steve reached one of his hands out slowly and gently took the brunettes hand in his and got a closer look at the bracelet, which he figured out was a medical bracelet because it had nothing about a caregiver on it at all. Name: James Buchanan (Bucky) Barnes. LIttle age: Newborn; sound sensitivity.

"Can I call you Bucky?" Steve asked as he let go of the boy, Bucky's, wrist. The brunette looked at him, avoiding his eyes and Steve took that as a yes since he couldn't talk. "I'm gonna take you home with me and get you all clean and fed. How's that sound?" Bucky hesitated, he liked the sound of being clean and his belly not hurting all the time, but he was also scared the nice stranger would do mean things instead. He frowned with a whimper at the pounding in his head. He held his arms out to the stranger with fear adamant in his eyes. Steve cooed to him and scooped him up in his arms.

"Oh Sweetheart, you're freezing." Bucky whimpered again and held Steve's jacket tightly in one hand. He closed his eyes and snuggled up to the stranger, which he remembered who's name was Steve. Steve held him closer as he walked down the sidewalk, cooing to the boy softly.

When they made it back to the tower they were immediately met by Jarvis' booming voice. "Good evening Captain Rogers, welcome home." Bucky flinched and started bawling into Steve's chest. "Hey, hey, hey, you're okay. He won't hurt you." The man cooed. He bounced on his heels as he walked to the elevator. He pushed the button to his floor, still trying to stop the brunette's cries. He patted Bucky's back and kissed his head as the elevator ascended.

Once they finally got up to his floor he made a beeline for his bedroom and to the bathroom where he got a pacifier from one of the drawers. He held it in Bucky's mouth until he latched on and suckled with small whimpers here and there. "There we go. All better." Steve cooed and sat down on the floor next to the tub so he could fill it up with the knowledge Bucky was okay. He turned on the faucet and made sure it was the right temperature before laying the boy on the floor gently. Bucky whimpered behind his pacifier and tears welled up in his eyes. "I know, Sweet Boy, I know. It'll only be a second." He soothed and began undressing the baby.

When he got the pants off Bucky he saw the brunette had a diaper on. It was clearly a few days old because it was sagging quite a bit and he could see a rash on his upper thighs. Steve frowned and gently untaped the sides causing the diaper to fall slightly and Bucky to whine in pain. "I know Baby, I'm sorry." Steve apologized sincerely as he pulled the diaper off the rest of the way, picking Bucky back up and setting him in the warm bath.

The man leaned him back on the wall of the tub and ran a soapy wash cloth over him, using baby soap since it's easier on sensitive skin. He chuckled as the boy lazily sucked on his pacifier as time went on. Bucky then learned he loved baths never wanted to get out. He opened his eyes when he felt his head being lifted up and looked to Steve fearfully. "I'm just washing your hair." He soothed and Bucky closed his eyes once again when the water was being poured over his head.

Steve lathered the shampoo in his hair and scrubbed the boys scalp lulling him to sleep even more. "Stay awake, Sweetheart. You still need num nums." Bucky grunted sleepily and forced his eyes open as Steve washed the soap out of his hair. He did the same with the conditioner and grabbed a fluffy towel and set it down on the toilet before draining the water and picking Bucky up.

He wrapped the sleepy baby in the towel and dried him off before drying his hair and carrying him to the bed. Steve got a diaper and an over sized t-shirt along with baby powder, lotion, and rash cream. He first applied the rash cream pretty much everywhere since the poor boy had gone so long with the same diaper. Then he sprinkled the baby powder all over and finally taped up the sides. He looked up at Bucky to make sure he was okay and noticed tears streaming down his cheeks. Steve frowned and grabbed a hold of one of his hands. "It's okay Sweet boy, I'm almost done."

Bucky sucked on his pacifier harder and Steve hurriedly rubbed the lotion onto his skin as he mumbled reassurances to the upset boy before him. He carefully slid the shirt over his head and pulled his arms through before he plucked Bucky up from the bed.

Bucky clutched Steve's jacket and nuzzled his neck. The blonde man chuckled when he felt the pacifier bobbing against his skin. He quickly made a bottle and went back to his room where he sat down with Bucky in his lap. He put the bottle on the nightstand and positioned the baby so his head was in the crook of his arm and he was tucked close to Steve's chest. Steve took Bucky's pacifier and, before he could cry, replaced it with the bottle.

The brunette suckled on the milk softly as his eyes drooped and he was pulled into a light sleep. Once he finished his bottle Steve took it and laid Bucky on the bed as he got up to put pajamas on.

A few seconds after the blonde had disappeared in his closet Bucky jerked awake and wailed. Steve pulled his pants the rest of the way up and rushed to him. His heart broke at the cries and he plucked Bucky from the bed. He bounced him and walked around a bit to calm him down, which worked after a few minutes.

"I'm sorry, I had to get dressed for night night time too." Steve cooed softly. He sat down on the bed and moved Bucky so he was laying on his chest. He then felt the boy sucking on his nipple, he didn't mind and thought it was cute. He had a feeling the baby just needed a little more comfort and didn't stop him. He ran his hand through Bucky's hair and closed his eyes drifting off almost instantly.
