The sun began to set over the bustling city when Peyton walked up to the tall tower of the castle. Elisa had told her that tonight she was going to be hot off the press on a major case that was developing so Peyton would be spending the night at the castle with Goliath and the gang.

Peyton never slept over at a friend's house before so she made sure she packed all her necessities in her duffel bag after homeschool was over for the day and the moment sundown approached, Peyton hopped on the first cab and was off to the castle.

The gargoyles awoke from their stone slumber with a set of roars as they stretched and yawned.

"See you later guys!" said Broadway, gliding away from the castle.

Brooklyn stood by Lexington.

The gargoyle waved goodbye to Broadway and Goliath glided down to them.

"Where's he off to in such a rush?" he asked.

"Oh, he's going to see Showdown again," replied Lexington.

"Showdown?" asked Goliath.

"Yeah," said Brooklyn. "It's a new Western; great movie, we all saw it the other day."

"Y'know. Cowboys, horses, guns." Lexington said as he pretended to use his claw like a gun.

"Hmm, it must be good he didn't even have his dinner first," joked Goliath.

"Movies, television, video games; these days it's hard to tell what's real and what's not," said Hudson as a few words of wisdom, shaking his head.

"Hey, guys!"

The gargoyles turned to see Peyton walking towards them and they all smiled.

Bronx hopped off his pedestal, pounced on Peyton, and began to lick her face.

Peyton laughed and sputtered while the slobbery kisses kept coming.

"H-Hi Bronx!" she laughed between breaths.

Hudson pulled Peyton onto her feet after calling Bronx off of her.

Soon, the gargoyles and Peyton headed inside the castle.

"Hey Peyton," said Brooklyn, "c'mon. We've got something to show you."

Brooklyn took Peyton by the hand and led her down the hallway, Lexington followed behind them.

It was like this for five minutes.

"Brooklyn," said Peyton, "why can't you guys just tell me what this is all about?"

"You'll see," said Lexington, "It's a surprise."

Brooklyn opened the door to one of the rooms in the castle and flipped on the lights.

Peyton looked in the room and her eyes lit up.

The once empty room was now filled with furniture and other decorations.

There was a bed with its Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles bedsheets and comforter laid neatly on top. On the right side of the bed, was a wooden bedside table with a drawer with a handmade edge lamp and a Nickelodeon Time Blaster digital alarm clock.

The dungeon-like bench was now transformed into a bookshelf held together with Pinky and the Brain book ends with an antique closet to the left and a small laundry basket on the side.

On the floor was an outer space rug, a green bean bag, a TV stand with a bottom cabinet, and a portable TV set with a remote and VHS player. The bottom cabinet of the TV stand held dozens of VHS tapes, video games, and a video game counsel Lexington found in the junkyard and repaired.
