“Kageyama, we’re here!”
Kageyama looked at Hinata, a bored expression on his face. “Finally. The ride here was getting long.”
Hinata stepped out of the carriage and let Kageyama out. Kageyama stepped out of the carriage, people crowding around it. Girls screamed his name, but he paid no attention. The faint scent of vanilla caught his eye, which came from a nearby bakery. He knew that he had duties to do in the kingdom, but he couldn’t resist the sweet aroma. He walked towards the bakery, Hinata calling for him, following the young prince.
“Kageyama, where are you going? We have things to do!”
Kageyama glared at Hinata. “Shut up Hinata.” He replied, still walking towards the bakery.
The smell of vanilla grew closer and closer, as Kageyama walked. Soon, he was in front of a bakery.
The bakery was made out of stone bricks, with ivy and roses growing against the walls. There was a wooden sign that read (L/n) Family Bakery. The curious young prince stepped through the wooden door, taking in his surroundings. There were white metal tables with matching white seats, a light pink cushion on each chair’s seat and back. There were loaves of assorted loaves of bread on one wall, and another with differently decorated cakes. There was a glass case with multiple baked goods sitting inside, all ready to be bought. He walked up to the counter, seeing if anyone was there.“(Y/n), dear, there’s someone at the front counter! Can you see who’s here?”
“Of course mother!”
A young girl walked out of the back, smiling. She looked to be about his age, 16, or a little younger. She had long (h/c) hair, and wore a beautiful (f/c) ankle-length dress with a white apron. It took a second to register how beautiful she was.
“Welcome to the (L/n) Family Bakery! How can I help you tod- Oh, your majesty! Welcome!” The girl curtsied, but accidentally hitting her head off the counter. Her face showed pain, which worried Kageyama for some odd reason.
“A-are you okay?” He asked, concerned. He reached his hand out to inspect her head, gently touching the red mark that was there.
The girl pulled away suddenly. “I’m fine your majesty.” She replied, then smiled again. “Can I help you with anything? Maybe get you something to eat?”
Kageyama pondered for a minute. “Do you have any milk cake?”
The girl nodded, then headed to the back. Kageyama decided to seat himself at a table. He waited for a few minutes, before someone with a steaming piece of milk cake and a cup of hot chocolate. He looked up to see the girl, smiling softly.
“How much is it?” He asked. “The price.”
“It’s on the house!” She replied.
“No, let me pay for it.” He demanded, pulling out a small sachel and sat a couple of gold coins down.
The girl hesitantly took the coins and put them in her apron pocket.
“(Y/n)!”
“Coming!”
So (Y/n) is her name…
