Harry returned later that night for his detention. "Potter I want every cauldron cleaned and every potion ingredient labeled and organized by the time I return. No magic. Your wand will be released from the spell when you finish. Begin." Harry grabbed the first cauldron and began scrubbing. By the time he finished he already missed dinner. When he was completely done with everything it was past curfew. But Snape never returned.
"I hate this school." He headed for Gryffindor tower expecting everyone to be asleep. Until Draco Malfoy of all people showed up. "Malfoy I am not in the mood."
"What's wrong?"
"I just had detention and I have to go to bed without food. So everything."
"Follow me. This is a secret I learned first year. You tickle the pear and go into the kitchen. If it makes you feel any better I missed dinner too."
"Why?"
"Because you missed it and I couldn't pass up the chance to dine with the one and only Harry Potter."
"I hate that you know."
"What?"
"Being the chosen one. I just want people to get to know me for me! Not because of the whole Voldemort thing." Draco visibly flinched. "Sorry."
"I feel the same way you know. People don't get to know me because i'm a Malfoy. They automatically assume i'm a horrendous death eater and run away."
"I never thought that."
"You didn't know who I was. But I grew up reading stories about you and I never judged you. I don't know why everyone else did."
"Why do you hate me?"
"Did not do Harry and because you didn't want to be my friend. When you refused my hand I hated you." They sat in comfortable silence as they ate until Harry could barely keep his eyes open. "I think we should head to our dorms now."
"Yea. I feel like i'm going to die of exhaustion. I'll see you tomorrow?"
"Of course. Goodnight Harry."
"Goodnight Draco"
I know people probably are not reading this and i'm a pretty bad writer but it's just because my other story is on hold.
