*Sophie's POV*

Carrie was driving, as usual. I turned on the radio and our favorite Christian song came on. Beautiful Day by Jamie Grace. I turned the radio up and smiled. Carrie and I sang along.

When trouble seems to rain on my dreams

It's not a big, not a big deal , let it wash all the bugs off my windshield

This feeling can't be wrong, I'm about to get my worship on

Take me away, it's a beautiful day

What a positive way to start off our day! I mean seriously? Our favorite song comes on and it really is a beautiful day? "Glory to God!" We said in unison.

We arrived at work. "Good thing your dad is babysitting Eleanor on his vacation. He's an amazing man." Carrie enthused.

"That's because he's my dad." I joked. It wasn't really a joke though. I love him to pieces. Love Brandon and Noelle too. They're all the family I have left.

"Speaking of dads. When we get on break you should do some research on Eleanor's dad. Maybe he's still around." Carrie replied.

"Good idea, Davenport." I enthused. "I always give good ideas." She boasted. I chuckled. "Yes you do." I replied, sarcastically.

We arrived at work and commenced saving lives. Yes. I say it like that because it gives it extra flair. Like we're superheros. Batman and Robin. I'm Batman. I don't care if Carrie objects.

*Lunch break (hours later)*

*Dean's POV*

I dressed in an expensive suit and placed my FBI badge inside it. I drove to the hospital where Sophie and Carrie work.

I walked through the halls and flashed the badge wherever it was necessary. All these hot nurses female nurses and none compare to Sophie.

Why can't I stop thinking about her? Cas is my best friend. I can't do that to him. She's clearly not interested in me anymore and I don't know if I'm okay with that.

I really enjoyed dating her and hanging out with her when we were teens. We were best friends and partners in crime. We may have broke into our high school a couple times. Okay. Like half a dozen but who's counting?

I checked a few of the nurses out to see if they'd get my mind off of her. Nope. She's still there. This is torture. Sweet, sweet torture.

I found the cafeteria hoping I didn't have to walk anymore and that I'd find Sophie. I saw someone in a uniform but couldn't tell if it was her or not. I approached with caution.

"Agent Fuller. FBI." I said, calmly. "I know damn well you aren't FBI." The woman replied. She still didn't face me. "How's that?" I asked.

"Your voice gave you away, bud." She joked. Sophie. Yep. Still the same as I remembered her. She turned to face me while she was holding her tray.

"Right. Well I'd like to ask you some questions--" She cut me off. "Well I don't have time for any questions. Carrie will have my head if I don't bring her chocolate pudding to her in a minute." She interjected.
