Now That I See You

Marinette lay with her head in Adrien's lap, watching Tangled as he played with her hair. When he mentioned that he'd never seen it, she made a fort and called him over.

"You remind me of Rapunzel," she said as Rapunzel's 'mother' came out of hiding and tried to convince Rapunzel to come back with her. "She's locked up by her 'parent' and never let outside. When she finally escapes, she has this childlike wonder and falls in love with the first man to cross her path. Plus, she has blonde hair and green eyes."

"I was just thinking the same about you, M'lady. What with the swinging around and all. And she's very brave."

"No, I'm more like Flynn."

"You mean Eugene? How so?"

"Well, I'm the love interest, obviously."

"Naturally."

"And I guide you around the world."

"Yes. . ."

"What?"

"I'm still waiting for you to make your point."

She looked up at him and pouted. He held up his hands and laughed. "I'm kidding!"

She turned back to the movie and ignored him.

"I'm serious, Princess. You'd make a wonderful Flynn Rider. Although. . . I was thinking Plagg was more like him, always trying to get whatever he can and all that."

"Hey! I resemble that remark!" Plagg flew out of Adrien's jacket.

"You mean you resent that remark?" Adrien laughed.

"Yes, that's what I said!"

"No, you said you resemble that remark."

"No I didn't."

"Yes you did."

"Did not!"

"Did too."

"Did NOT!"

"Did not."

"Did too."

"Ha! You said you did!"

Plagg looked bewildered, "That doesn't count, you tricked me!"

"N-"

"Can you two please just stop?" She interrupted, glaring up at them. "I'm trying to watch a movie here and you're making it pretty hard."

"Sorry, Princess."

She turned her attention to Plagg, who grumbled before conceding.

"Thank you." She turned back to the computer. "Can you play with my hair again, Kitty?"

"Of course, M'lady." He started combing his fingers through her hair sending delightful shivers down her back.

"Mmmm, that feels nice."

Adrien laughed. And her love for him flared with such an intensity, she couldn't help smiling herself.

She loved him so much.

And she was never going to let him go.
