"Congratulations on your new baby boy!" The doctor exclaimed and left to deal with paperwork. Immediately, a dark figure emerged from a portal. He had purple hair, yellow eyes with accents and a scarred face that went well with his dark skin tone.
Emi breathed a sigh as her muscles relaxed."The little buggers finally out." She thought to herself. The bawling infant was handed to his creator, Oboro Shirakuma. "He has your eyes, my love." He said, gently caressing the child. "And your cute face." She responded with her eyes closed. "You're not even looking." He chuckled. "I don't have to. Call it motherly intuition."
"You two really are something special." Said a dry voice. "It's all thanks to you Shota." Emi cheered. Aizawa smiled as he sat in his chair. "Yeah. And thanks for agreeing to be his godfather." Thanked the living cloud. "It's the least I can do. We both know what you need to do but the boy needs a father." He stated sadly. The atmosphere thickens. The couple had sad expressions. "It's almost time for me to go." Oboro regretted. He handed the baby to his wife and kissed her forehead. "Take care of our baby boy." He whispered. "I will. Goodbye Oboro." She sobbed.
A dark purple emerged from thin air. "Till we meet again, Shota." A nod of affirmation gave him satisfaction. Alike that, he was gone. The doctor walked in with his clipboard. "Is everything okay?" He asked noticing their dull faces. "Yes. Just remembering the father... My husband." Emi said with tears dripping. "Ah yes. Sorry for your loss Ms Fukukado."
4 Years Later
Izuku was sleeping soundly in his bed, dreaming. He was in a grassy field. His giant eyes observed the plain. He walked for a little until he came upon a silhouette. It almost seemed alive in a way. The aberration reaches for Izuku and he did the same. "What are you?" He asks. "We. It is we." He spoke in a weird distorted fashion. Like a broken radio. "We?" "I am the power and conscience. You are the body and soul. We are the person."
"So. You are my quirk?" "Yes." "Awesome! What can we do?" Izuku asked excitedly. "I dunno? I was just born a few days ago I only know your main language." "Oh. You look really cool by the way." He complimented. "Thank you." "Do you have a name?" "No. Can you give me one?" "I know! Taru!" "I don't speak Japanese yet. What does that mean?" "Tar." "Oh. Very nice."
"So, Taru. How do I use my quirk?" "We must merge. That's all I know. We will become one person." "So do I get to keep my memories?" "Yes. When we become one, I will merely be your conscience. That little whisper in your ear."
"I'm done for that." "This may be painful. Every inch of you will become like me. Are you ready?"
"Hell yeah!"
Izuku jumped from his bed screaming as loud as he could. The screams echoed throughout the Fukukado Estate. The sound was limited to his room and his mother's. Speaking of her, she was in his room in a heartbeat.
"Izu baby! What happened?" She cried. She ran to his side. He laid on the ground in a fetus position. Suddenly, his eyes erupted in a dark green haze-like way. His skin darkened until it was as black and the night sky. Dark green highlights trimmed his edges. It was like he was burning, but not burning. He was misty. Like his father.
"Oh my god. It's your quirk!" Emi said in realization. Izuku's transformation was complete, signified by his silence though he still needed time for his nervous system to adjust.
"Can you hear me?" Asked a distorted voice. Izuku responded mentally, "Taru?" "Yep. That's me." "What happened?" "Open your eyes. Get acclimated to your new form."
Izuku followed his order and opened his eyes. He was greeted by the warm smile of his mother. She has carried him on the bed and waited for his awakening. "Wakey wakey my beautiful boy." She cooed. Izuku sat up in his bed and looked at his hands. Misty and dark with green highlights.
He felt light. Fluid. Malleable. "How long did I sleep?" He asked. His voice was distorted just like Taru. Emi was startled. "Taru what the heck?" He asked his companion, somehow his inner voice was like before. "Your vocal cords are like mine. Somewhat fluid."
"You slept the entire night after the screaming. How do you feel?" "I feel... Fine. Taru says I need to get used to my new form." Izuku stated.
"Who's Taru?" "My quirk. He spoke to me."
Emi's eyes lit up. In fact, she had a similar aspect to her quirk. When she was little and first got her quirk she heard a voice talking to her. Doctors called it Quirk Induced Split Personality Disorder or QISP for short.
It was like the perfect merging between her lover's quirk and her mental affliction. "Izuku I'm so happy! Y'know, I have voices too. Mines called Sunikkāzu. She says hi." "So does Taru."
"Alright, how about we have breakfast and we head to the quirkoligist later?" She suggested. "Sounds okay."
Emi realized his wasn't as cheery prior to his metamorphosis."It's possible some parts of his personality have been amplified and others vice versa." She thought. "Well ain't that funny." Spoke to her mental roommate. "Quiet." She scolded the aberration.
"Are you coming, mother?" He asked, already at the door. "Yeah, coming." As they walked, Emi couldn't help notice Izuku observing the area as if it were his first time being in his own home. "Is Taru gathering data?" She asked. "Yes. He's only a few days old. He can't see my memories yet." Izuku explained with help from his companion. "Sunikkāzu was the same back in the day. Now she keeps me company and helps regulate my dopamine levels." "Why? Doesn't your quirk do that?"
"Even though she is the conscious manifestation of my quirk, she still has power over me. Think of it like symbiosis. Too much dopamine causes me to go into a deep depressive state. Too little and my quirk becomes ineffective. Do you understand?" "Yes." "Good boy."
"Izuku. I wanna try something. Go to the wall." "Okay."
Izuku strayed from his mother and went to the wall. "Use your instincts and activate the quirk gene. I feel it trying to release." Taru stated. Izuku followed and a pitch-black portal with a green border. "Oh my goodness. Just like your father. Izuku, you have your father's quirk!" She cheered with glee. Izuku gazed into the voidic window. He ventured inside and ended up in the kitchen. He peeked his head through, "Come."
Emi walked through and joined her son. "Impressive."

Emi and Izuku were at their family Quirkologist who just happens to be her older brother. Family helps the family. "So, did you already identify his quirk?" He asked. "Yes though it goes unnamed." "Any complications of abnormalities." "He has QISP. Just me and some of our other family." "I figured. He looks so much like Oboro." He gawked. "He does, doesn't he Enki?" She replied with her hand on her cheek.
All the while Izuku and Taru were coming up with a name for their quirk. "Hmm, Black Goo?" Izuku suggested. "We are not goopy, y'know." Taru deadpanned. "Alright. What do we look like." "A Quiet Silhouette. A calm stream of matter." "We can put it simply as Whispering Mist." "... I approve."
"We have come to a decision," Izuku spoke aloud. "We want it to be called... The Whispering Mist."
