~~Murray's POV~~
Denise, Justine and I had just arrived back at the old man's cabin to look for Hamish and Kate.
"If you're really not Santa, prove it" I heard Hamish say.
We entered and there they were badgering the old man and wearing lawyer clothes.
"Hamish, Kate, we told you to leave this poor man alone!" I scolded.
"I've been asking them to leave for three hours straight! Well, with a couple cookie breaks" said the old man.
"We would have been here sooner but we needed to get lost all over again" said Denise.
"We apologize, sir" said Justine.
"Yeah. For some strange reason, they've convinced themselves you're Santa Claus" I said.
"Hey. If I had a magic sleigh, I'd be flying over Paul McCartney's house" said the old man.
"Come on. If you're really not Santa, explain all the cookies" said Hamish.
"So I don't always make the best dietary choices. Who are you? My cardiologist?" said the old man.
"Then you're really not Santa?" said Hamish.
"No! So scram back to your studio! Better yet, take Mr Carrot Cake all the way back to Melbourne where he came from" said the old man.
"Wait. How'd you know I'm from Melbourne?" said Hamish.
"Uh... you must have mentioned it in all of your yapping" said the old man.
"No he didn't" said Kate.
"I didn't even know he was from Melbourne" I said.
"Me either" said Denise.
"Or me" said Justine.
"Any chance you believe it was a lucky guess?" said the old man.
"You knew because you ARE Santa Clause!" said Hamish triumphantly.
"Not exactly. I was Santa Claus. But not anymore. I'm done with Christmas" said the old man.
