Mary:
"Ugh..." I moan, grabbing at my pounding head. I reach in my bag for a pain killer, but I see no bag. I am rather greeted with the friendly face of a hermit crab. I see silhouettes of people in the distance.
"Hello?! HELLO?!" I call out. I don't care how much blood is coming from my head, all I know is that I am not alone on this island.
I begin to run, my blonde hair flowing behind me. One of my shoes has torn apart completely, leaving me with one good shoe. I dodge little scraps of metal that are sprawled out over this remote island. My foot ends on a little pebble, and I reach for my foot in agony.
"Holy-" I exclaim, looking at the blood drip down my foot's sole. The rapid flow frightens me, I've never liked blood.
"Hey, need a band-aid?" A friendly voice greets me.
"Please!" I cry, still aiding my injured foot.
"Tough luck because I don't have one." The voice laughs, I smile a little and turn my head. I am welcomed by the face of a girl.
"A girl?! I only saw guys in the distance..." I say, relieved.
"Yeah, my name's Sage. Yours?"
"Mary," I reply with a smile. My shoulders relax a little, and I slowly let go of my foot.
"Have you met any of the other boys?" She asks me, I shake my head.
"Not yet, I was actually going that way now." I respond as I point to two boys huddling over something. "Have you?"
"Yeah, right back there actually." Sage points behind her, and I take a look. I see a redhead boy staring at some kid who seemingly has fainted.
"Uh...is he okay?" I ask, she turns and her face is now overwhelmed with concern.
"Not sure, should I go ask if HE needs a band-aid?" She asks me, and we both laugh a little.
"Yeah, tell me what he says!" I respond, she helps me up and I limp over to the two boys.
After I separate from Sage, I continue to do a jog/limp to the two boys over the mystery object.
"No, you blow it like this!" A boy whines, as he positions an object to point towards the sky.
"It isn't working!" The other replies. He sounds around my age, and he has a strong voice that would be great for conducting a meeting.
"What isn't working?" I ask. They turns towards me suddenly.
"A girl...?" The first boy questions.
"No duh it's a girl, can you not see?" The other answers, glancing through a large pair of specs.
"Yes, I'm a girl." I respond, staring towards the first boy I saw. He's taller than me, but not by too much. He has blonde-ish brown-ish hair that is brushed back and to the side. "My name is Mary, yours?" The boy I've been staring at begins to shake my hand.
"Ralph, my name is Ralph." He grips my hand tighter. "This is Piggy." We look at each other some more, and I move my hand to Piggy's.
"A pleasure, Piggy." I say, he smiles back. The three of us sit down on the sand.
"So you go to the girl's prep school?" Piggy asks me.
"No, I go to Hogwarts, Piggy." I respond. Ralph laughs, but Piggy doesn't pick up.
"Really?!" He asks hopefully.
"No, I'm just joking. Yes, I go to the All Girl's prep school. How'd you know?" I ask, and Piggy points to my uniform that I had completely forgotten I was wearing. My shirt is a maroon red and my skirt is black. My black socks torn, as I am left with a bad shoe and a gashed foot.
"I don't know...maybe he knew from the crest on your shirt?" Ralph replies. I laugh a little and then look out at the sea.
"You alright, Mary?" Ralph asks me and he examines my face.
"I'm alright, just confused." I reply, looking back at him. His green eyes shining at me, in which I feel like I am staring at the Earth. His lips delicate and inviting as his eyes are reassuring. He doesn't reply, he just stares at me, and looks away.
