"L/n!" Todoroki called out. "L/n!!"

Y/n heard her name being called and was surprised when she recognized who it was. Rushing over to him, she laughed and playfully punched him arm. 

"Ahaha! How'd you find me here?"

The boy felt a sensation course throughout his body as her laughter rang. "I followed you here after you ditched me back at the beach."

Y/n rubbed the back of her neck with a smile on her face. "Ahh sorry, you just seemed so busy with your friends, I didn't wanna interrupt."

"I wouldn't have minded.. I really enjoy your company and I know they would've too." Y/n felt herself go pink. 

Meanwhile with Bakugo..

'What the hell? Is this guy on crack? Who's he talking to, there's no one there!'

A small rustle sounded from the bush near the boy and he put his guard up.

"Bakubro! I knew it, you've either got some sort of thing for Todoroki, or you're trying to jump and then kill him." Denki smirked as Kirishima popped up from behind him.

Pomeranian slapped the two of them and growled. "What are you, the toxic part of the fandom? And didn't I say not to follow me, dipshits?"

Denki's brain broke. "Fandom..?"

"We followed after you 'cuz you seemed like you were gonna do something that would've gotten you in trouble. Looks like we were right, we just stopped a potential murder." Kirishima proudly announced. 

"Idiots, you've ruined it all now! Tch, whatever, let's just leave this hobo to himself." Bakugo groaned and walked away with the two, not so discreetly, following after him.

Although, before completely leaving, Bakugo took one last look at Todoroki and frowned.

'Just what the hell is this dumbass doing?'

Back to Todoroki..

"I was heading home from the hospital then ran into those guys and saw you. You interest me more so I followed you- wait that sounds weird. I'm sorry, I didn't mean it like that!"

Y/n chuckled and sat on a nearby bench, beckoning Todoroki to sit with her. "That makes me feel special! But, um, why were you at the hospital?

Todoroki looked away for a moment and whispered, "I was visiting my mom."

Y/n's eyes widened. 

"I'll tell you my story..."

"Wow.. that must be hard for you and your family, are you doing ok right now?"

"Right now?" The boy met Y/n's worried eyes and he smiled. "I'm doing fine, since you're here with me."

Y/n's heart fluttered and she gave him a smile back.

"But, can I ask you something, L/n?"

"Ask away."

Todoroki pursed his lips. "Why have you never asked me about my past before? Or how I got my bruises?"

The girl took a deep breath in and slowly exhaled. "Because.. I know that talking about that stuff is hard. And we've only known each other for a little over a month now right? Sharing things like that with a stranger is a bit awkward."

Todoroki's heart saddened. 'So then.. she doesn't feel the bond I thought we'd shared?'

"But, I feel like there's some sort of connection between us so if you ever do wanna talk to someone, I'll always be here for you. Whether it's running away again, or skipping school, you can count on me."

The boy felt his eyes start to water and he stared at his feet. 

"Thank you, L/n."
