Todoroki and Y/n boarded the train together and sat in silence in the near empty vehicle. Neither of them knew what to say ever since Y/n had won the argument and convinced Todoroki to go back home. 

"Hey, L/n." Todoroki finally spoke up and the girl nodded in response. "Why did you go along with everything if you were just going to make me go back in the first place?"

She stared at her hands and kept quiet for a bit. "..I wasn't planning to. I wanted to stay with you for as long as I could, but I realized that was probably irresponsible."

"Oh. I see."

"I hope you'll forgive me, Todoroki."

The boy was pained but he understood her reason. He was thankful she looked out for him but.. he wished their time had lasted longer. "I was never mad at you in the first place. And it's not like we won't be able to see each other in school."

Y/n flinched a bit at the mention of UA but she shook her goosebumps away. "Mmhm, yeah."

The train slowed to a stop and the two stood up when the doors opened. Todoroki walked in front of the girl but stumbled back a little when he felt a tug on his hand.

Looking down, he saw Y/n had intertwined her hand with his. A little explosion of warmth spread throughout his body, even though her touch was cold. 

"C'mon, let's go." He whispered and pulled the girl alongside him. They walked side by side and where Y/n would usually stop to admire little details, she was quiet and had her head down.

A piece of paper on the floor caught her eye and she bent down to grab it, her hand still clutching onto Todoroki though.

"What's that?" He asked and the two crouched down to the floor to look at it. 

"I was just looking at the date." The girl muttered as she crumpled the small paper up and stuffed it into her pocket. "I hadn't realized that time really flew by."

Peppermint nodded and then the two continued walking down the street until they reached Todoroki's giant house.

"Woahh, you've got a nice house." Y/n admired.

The boy nodded and gave Y/n's hand one more squeeze until he hesitantly let go. "I'll see you later.. if you won't hear from me in a week then my old man probably killed me."

Y/n laughed. "Oh? So you do have a sense of humor!" Todoroki stuck his tongue out in a playful manner and made the girl laugh even harder. 

He blushed and felt his heart start beating faster as he chuckled with the laughing girl. He wanted to be the one to make her smile, he wanted to stay by her side.

"S-Shoto?!" A voice called out and he turned around to see Fuyumi in her apron. She stared in disbelief and quickly rushed over and engulfed him into a hug. "Oh god, where have you been? I've been so worried about you! Are you ok?"

The boy slowly turned his head to where Y/n was standing but was disappointed when she was nowhere to be seen. 

'Right, she also has a family and home to get back too..'

But, boy, was he wrong.
