It was the breaking of dawn, the sun rising out of the east.

Twelve people stood around, well, if you counted the Twelve Olympians as people, waiting for the other party.
As the Mist and the actual tendrils of mist disappeared, eight forms shimmered into existence.

"What took you so long?" Zeus asked the head of the group.
"Must you skip formalities? It is only proper to greet your guests to a party and THEN to start asking questions." Dionysus complained. Zeus turned to tell of the god, but Athena beat him to it.
"This is no party," Athena scolded the god of wine. Demeter rolled her eyes at the wine god.
"Thank you, Dionysus, for encouraging hospitality, but I'm afraid that this meeting is for serious matters only." Isis, one of the eight, said.

Her comrades: Ra, god of the sun, Bast, goddess of cats, Anubis, god of funerals, Osiris, god of the afterlife, Horus, ruler of the heavens and god of the sky, Nepthys, goddess of rivers, and Set, god of the desert, storms, and omens stood near her.

"Right." said Artemis, who was standing next to her twin brother, Apollo.
"The recent events have called us to meet. Those events concern our children, your magicians, and some Alexandrian gods." Poseidon started.
"Yes, I noticed." Horus said with an undercurrent of loathing. Osiris placed a hand on his shoulder, as if he was trying to hold back his brother and comfort him at the same time.
"Carter Kane-" Horus said.
"-my son-" Osiris added.
"-one of my favorite hosts, and your son and your son-" Horus said.
"-Perseus Jackson-" Poseidon added.

Aphrodite perked up when she heard Perseus Jackson. Ares whispered something in her ear and she visibly slumped and began to play with her hair. Hephaestus rolled his eyes at her antics and returned to fiddling with his machine parts.

"-had a run in with a god known as the Son of Sobek, a Alexandrian god." Horus finished.
"They did. But, they defeated the Son of Sobek together." Demeter said.
"And, the second event.....Athena, would you like to explain?" Hades asked.
"Annabeth and your magician host-" the wisdom goddess began.
"-my daughter-" Osiris muttered.
"-Sadie Kane-" Isis interrupted.
"-had an encounter with Serapis." Athena said with a slight shutter. Isis shuttered with her.
"They managed to defeat him." Hades concluded.
"And this magician of yours, what is his name?" Hermes asked.
"Setne," Osiris and Ra said together.
"Setne has avoided punishment for his crimes as a living person for centuries." Anubis growled.
"He's named after me." Set said with a grin.
"For a reason." Nepthys muttered.
"Can he charmspeak? It's the only way he could avoid punishment." Aphrodite said.
"Charmspeak?" Bast asked.
"Oh, a power that some of my children possess." Aphrodite said with a wave of her hand, as if she was dismissing this subject. Ares scowled that the mention of her children. It was quiet for a while until Set spoke up.

"So, you all say that your children and our magicians teamed up to defeat these Alexandrian gods?" Set asked.
Ra sighed. "Yes, Set. Were you paying attention?"
"I hope he was." Hera said.
"So, if they defeated those gods together, why shouldn't the children of the Greek gods and the magicians of the Egyptian gods come together to defeat the rest of the Alexandrian gods that arise?" Set questioned.
Every god and goddess retreated into his/her thoughts for a moment.
"That could happen. But, how?" Horus said.
"Simple. I go to my son and tell him that he needs to find your Carter and Sadie Kane again." Poseidon says.
"I wish it was that simple, Poseidon." Athena sighed. "Our children met their magicians through sheer luck."
"But, did you see how they exchanged how to make contact with each other before they departed? There is a way for them to contact one another." Apollo pointed out.
"But, if we contacted them now, while the House of Life is being rebuilt, how will they come to our aid?" Ra asked.
"Our heroes are used to this." Hera commented.
"We cannot contact them now, but only when the times are desperate." Athena said and Hermes nodded in agreement.
"So, are we all agreeing on contacting the heroes and magicians when the time is desperate?" Nepthys asked. They all nodded their heads in assent.
"All in favor of the plan?" Ares asked.
All hands went up, except for Hera's.
"Then, it is settled." Zeus said. Hera opened her mouth to object, but did not.
"Before we leave, my wife, Ruby Kane, predicted something like would happen. She did not tell me the outcome of this joining of two sides. I hope we are doing the right thing." Osiris said.
"Ruby is never wrong." Isis said.
"Ruby Kane? Wonderful woman, I might say so myself." Aphrodite said.
"She was a wonderful maiden too." Artemis said with a reminiscing smile.
Horus smiled at them.
"I know our meeting has been brief. I hope that next time we meet, it will be on much friendlier terms." Horus said.
"I could not said that any better than you did, Horus." Zeus said.
The mist's tendrils gathered around the eight Egyptian gods.
"Until next time." Isis said as she disappeared from sight and back to the heavens.

Zeus turned to his fellow Olympians, all of who were at attention.

"I hope we did not make a mistake by meeting the Egyptian gods." Zeus said. Hera placed a loving hand on his shoulder.
"We did not. Somehow, I feel like it was worth it. Our heroes shall succeed, and those magicians will as well." Hera said to her husband and her subjects.
"Let us go back to Olympus. I feel like the mortals shall come out soon. The Mist won't be able to cover us up completely." Hades said.
With a blinding light, the twelve Olympians went back to the top floor in the Empire State Building.
