The Grotto

Chapter 2

It had been a few days since everyone had found their own part in the cave, the majority of people had started to call the main big cave 'The Grotto'. Lots of people started to sell things too, like plants and tree saplings. Techno had bought a lot of what They where selling.

Techno opened the door to our own house, he said " Phil! Theseus! I'm back with some stuff." Tommy ran down the stairs that led up to his room, he said " Ooooo! What did you get this time?" Tommy had become accustomed to putting his hair up ever since Phil and Techno had thought him how. Phil chuckled as he walked into the room, he said " Calm down now, Toms. I'm sure he'll tell us." Techno nodded, he said " I got some stuff to build with and grow but I got us mostly food and tools." He placed down an anvil and furnace, starting to cook some extra potatoes he bought for all three of them. Techno said " Eh Tommy could you help me out with building a farm for our carrots and potatoes?" Tommy nodded, getting his coat on as he walked over to the front door.

Techno walked out first, walking over to a corner and starting to build a farm. Tommy did the same but was surprised when he dug into a cave, he yelped as he fell in. He said " Tech! I fell into a caavveee!" He whined a little, his side hurt from how he fell. He looked around as he heard the same roar from a few days ago. He narrowed his eyes as he saw something green and blue glowing in the dark with what seemed to be particles around it, he looked super confused as he walked a bit closer but was cut off by Technos voice. " Theseus you okay? " Tommy snapped out of it, he said " Yeah I'm fine there's... something down here actually." He walked a bit closer, the odd glowing plant glowed brighter as he approached. His footsteps glowed green as the particles seemed to pick the foot steps up and sense them. Tommy looked super confused as the sensor set off many more near by, he went wide eyed as he looked up and heard heavy footsteps approaching him. That was when Tommy's stomach dropped, sending shiver up his spine, he took off running down the cave, deeper into it.

Tommy saw a gold light down one of the caves nearby, he smiled and hoped it was one of the residents. He blocked off where he just ran from, huffing and looking over at the light. It wasn't a torch or a lantern though, it was a glowing berry vine. He looked super surprised at how beautiful this cave was, there was grass, fresh water, berries, it looked like it didn't fit in at all. That was when something splashing in the the water caught his attention, it was a small pink animal. Tommy sat down next to the water, putting his hand in the water and hoping to see what the animal was. The pink animal came back, it was a small little Axolotl with a spot on its forehead in the shape of a heart. Tommy awed at the creature, he used his bucket to pick the animal up and gave it some fish, he said " I'll name you Axl." He chuckled, putting the bucket on his belt holster. He continued to walk, hoping to see where he could get back home.

Tommy seemed to walk for minutes maybe even an hour, Tommy started to feel tired so he blocked himself into a corner, setting the bucket on to the floor. He smiled as he looked at the small animal in the bucket, he said " oh god... I'm so lost. At least I have you Axl." He set up a makeshift bed for himself, he laid down on the ground, the blanket not helping one bit. He shivered a bit as he heard the deep roar from earlier. He sighed heavily as he turned a lantern on, he stride to reason with himself saying it was just so he could see but if he where being honest, the dark got a whole lot worse when he was alone. He closed his eyes as he started to drift off to sleep, he didn't know why he felt so tired all of a sudden.
